Request for improvements to Box folders for Teams in Box for Teams V2
When using Box for Teams V2, we found that the auto-created folders for teams were heavy on operations.
I would appreciate it if you could add the following two functions.
1.When you delete a member from a team, you want to delete that member's collaboration from the team Box folder.
2.When the team itself is removed from Teams, remove all member collaborations from the team Box folder.1 vote -
Metadata Versioning History
As we need to meet specific regulatory or compliance requirements, it's helpful to have a history of the metadata attributes that are applied to a folder or file.
It would be ideal if this was versioned on files/folders in the UI or reportable via user reports.
32 votesAlthough we do not plan to introduce this feature in the near term, we recognize its importance. We will certainly keep this in mind for future roadmap inclusion and we will keep the status of this request updated to accurately reflect our current position.

Sort underscores consistently
We would like for Box to sort files and folders the same as our computers. Right now, files and folders with an underscore at the beginning of the name are sorted at the end, but our computers sort them at the beginning.

Can't access a file shared with me
Collaborators are uploading files to my user folder, but I can't see them.
When they send me a link, I get a message that file has been removed or is unavailable for me.1 vote -
Fix file/folder size, counts, dates and storage
I'd like to preface this by saying that this is a bug that needs to be fixed, not an idea. Even so, Box suggested we post this here to get others to chime in and say that this should be fixed.
This is a problem that's been around for at least 1.5 years.
Often, when an account's folders and files are transferred to someone else, the account from which the data was transferred still shows something greater than 0 bytes owned. This becomes a problem for deleting that user, because we can't be sure if the transfer worked, and we…
143 votesWe are on track towards fixing this. We have made significant improvements in our Files, and Folder counts and their related sizes. They now happen in a near realtime speed and we also have a redundant process that runs and fixes these counts nightly. The current improvements are visible in most of your folders browsing experience and the enterprise level counts. We are in process of fixing counts that you can see for a given user, this will release in Calendar year 2024'Q3. There are also few minor improvements planned for the last quarter of the year.

Chose the location of folder when they are 'Available Offline'
when making folders 'available offline' we should be able to chose where the folders live.

Ability to create Box reports by API
To import snapshot data (folders and files, collaborations etc.) to SIEM like Splunk, it's convenient that Box reports data can be created by API.
27 votesCustomers can utilize the existing events infrastructure to gather this data, so we do not have any plans to provide snapshots in fewer API calls in the short term.

So we used a password on a shared link that contains a greater than symbol and the link does not work
If you create a shared link with a password that contains a greater than symbol > it will not work.
Such as:
T^>&4zjbFzVAt the very least they should make it so that when you try to save a password with that symbol it throws an error right there on the form.
Thanks

Unify Time Zone Handling for Expiration Dates of File Requests and Shared Links
Currently, Box handles expiration dates differently depending on the feature: Shared Links use PST/PDT as the standard, while File Requests rely on the local time zone of the device used to create the link. As a result, even when the same expiration date is set, the actual expiration timing can differ between the two types of links.
Having different time zone behaviors across Box features lacks consistency in implementation and is not intuitive for users. We kindly request that the time zone handling be unified across features.

User who share to external user need to have the option to set expiry date or never expire
User who share to external user need to have the option to set expiry date or never expire,
We need to set on folder level for shared links.2 votes -
We would like to have a clear indication of whether a file request link has been issued for a folder.
Currently, it's not immediately clear whether a folder has a file request issued.
We would like to have an icon display, similar to a shared link icon, so that it is visually clear when viewing the folder that a file request link has been issued.

フォルダを見た際に、ファイルリクエストリンクが発行されていることが視覚的にわかるよう、共有リンクのようなアイコン表示をできるようにしたいです。

Ability to customize email notification text
Is it possible to customize the text of email notifications? Ideally we'd like to customize text for uploads to different folders.

Box Drive to notify users before logging out that files or folders not sycn up will be lost.
It will be helpful if users will be notified before logging out of Box Drive that all files or folders not sync up to Box will be lost . In this way, users will be able to check again on the problem items and save it on other location before proceeding on logging out. This will prevent loss of files.

Department Folder Auto Provisioning and Updating
When enterprise needs to provision and update department folders, Box Admins or each folder owners would need to manually create, configure and update folders according to the organizational structure and would need to manually invite/remove all the necessary collaborators.
We would want to have a native feature in Box to allow such folder provisioning and updating by importing CSV file that contains folder names, structures and collaborators.

Support Multi-Select for Granting Folder Access to Groups (via Folder Picker on Groups Page of Admin Console)
Admins must currently add folders to Groups in the Admin Console on a one-by-one basis, so if an admin has 10 folders to add, that's a lot of clicks.
You could simplify this process by supporting multi-select in the folder picker that's provided when editing a Group from the Admin Console.
4 votesThis suggestion is not under consideration for the current or future roadmap. We are currently focusing on improving the performance and user interface to manage users in the Users & Groups tab before we add enhancements to group bulk operations. We will provide an update in the next few quarters.

Bookmark File Creation Feature for Box Files: Shared, Editable, and Folder-Selectable
Ability to create a Bookmark file for file on Box quickly:
We'd like to get a feature like creating a shortcut on Windows,
- There is an option to create a bookmark on each file
- People can select folder where created bookmark file is located into
Unfortunately, collection cannot help us out since collection can only be seen by yourself and others cannot see someone's collection.

Sort Field Preference in Settings
My files and folders are all indexed with numbers. It would be helpful to always sort files and folders by name to keep the indexing order. However, Box keeps sorting by the "Updated" field, which completely messes up the indexing order. Is it possible to have a Sort Preferences in Settings so one could select which field should be the default for sorting?
Thanks.

I want you to be able to add folders that are not owned or co-owned to Box Hubs
Many of the folders I use have editor permissions, and the current specifications do not allow me to use Hubs
I want you to be able to add editor permissions folders to Hubs as well.タイトル:
所有者・共同所有者ではないフォルダーもBox Hubsに追加できるようにしてほしい
本文:1 voteUnfortunately, we won't implement this as this contradicts Hubs security policy.
