1. Box Drive to notify users before logging out that files or folders not sycn up will be lost.

   It will be helpful if users will be notified before logging out of Box Drive that all files or folders not sync up to Box will be lost . In this way, users will be able to check again on the problem items and save it on other location before proceeding on logging out. This will prevent loss of files.

3. Ability to create Box reports by API

   Customers can utilize the existing events infrastructure to gather this data, so we do not have any plans to provide snapshots in fewer API calls in the short term.

4. I would like to add attachments (with shared links) in Outlook on the Web and make the attachment location at the top of the email body.

   When you add an attachment (with a shared link) in Outlook on the Web, it is attached at the bottom of the thread if the text field is expanded.
   However, it is difficult to see the attachment at the bottom of the thread, so please change the setting so that the attachment is added to the top of the email every time. (or add a feature).

   With the current specification, attachments are displayed at the bottom of the message, especially when the body of the message is long, so the recipient may not notice the attachment.

5. Folder setting: enable/disable file request

   Feature that allow owner/co-owner of folders to enable or disable file request in the folder setting.

   Currently, users can generate file request link in any folders with editor permissions. Some enterprise want to control (disable) usage of file request at the top-level folders depending on intended use.
   e.g. disable file request link in [internal-only] folder.

6. Request for improvements to Box folders for Teams in Box for Teams V2

   When using Box for Teams V2, we found that the auto-created folders for teams were heavy on operations.
   I would appreciate it if you could add the following two functions.
   1.When you delete a member from a team, you want to delete that member's collaboration from the team Box folder.
   2.When the team itself is removed from Teams, remove all member collaborations from the team Box folder.

7. Improve the de-provisioning process in Box

   Improve the de-provisioning process in Box so that old content isn't stored when it's not needed, and if it is needed, the right people are taking over ownership of the content. Workflow should look something like this: -User leaves company and is removed from AD group or marked somehow as "removed" -Collaborators on their shared folders are notified that they should take ownership of the folders, if the content is still needed. For example "you have 30 days to take ownership of X folder." -When they click to take ownership, the folder/file is now owned by them and other collaborators remain intact. -If no response, two more warnings are sent to users at the 15 days left mark and the 7 days left mark (their managers are also informed via notifications). -If no users claim the folder, it is deleted along with the account.

8. Single API call to delete user and transfer folders for that user

   Before deleting a user from box system we can transfer the root folder from one user account to
   another.
   Once the root folder is transferred only then delete API must be triggered.
   So in all, the delete operation will have to call two API one to transfer and another to delete.

   But as the transfer API call will return synchronously.
   For users with a large number of files and folders, this means the call could take minutes or hours to return.

   So the delete operation will be in pending state until we receive the transfer API response.

   Does box now have single API call to delete box user and also transfer the folder?

   Lets consider the use-case below;
   1. We are deleting box user - User1.
   2. We have to trigger API call to transfer files for User1.
   3. If the size of the files is too big we have to wait until the files are transferred or root folder gets empty for that user.
   4. We have to wait till the time all files gets transferred or root folder gets empty.
   5. Trigger API call to delete user once root folder is empty.

   Here we have to wait till the root folder gets empty which might hamper the performance if the file size is large.

10. Support Multi-Select for Granting Folder Access to Groups (via Folder Picker on Groups Page of Admin Console)

    Admins must currently add folders to Groups in the Admin Console on a one-by-one basis, so if an admin has 10 folders to add, that's a lot of clicks.

    You could simplify this process by supporting multi-select in the folder picker that's provided when editing a Group from the Admin Console.

    This suggestion is not under consideration for the current or future roadmap. We are currently focusing on improving the performance and user interface to manage users in the Users & Groups tab before we add enhancements to group bulk operations. We will provide an update in the next few quarters.

11. 'Not available' error message when accessing a link needs to be more specific.

    Please fix the ambiguous 'Not available' and 'Unable to Download File on Box EMM' error messages when users attempt to click on links sent to them that they don't have access to.

    Instead of users being sent shared links, they are being sent URL's for files/folders that only the sender has access to (as designed). They are asking for the error message to be more specific, and to say something like the following:
    "The requested page does not exist, or you do not have permission to view it, or this is not a Box Shared Link. Please check the URL and try again, or contact the sender for the appropriate permission or for a Box Shared Link."

12. We would like to have a clear indication of whether a file request link has been issued for a folder.

    Currently, it's not immediately clear whether a folder has a file request issued.

16. Sort Field Preference in Settings

    My files and folders are all indexed with numbers. It would be helpful to always sort files and folders by name to keep the indexing order. However, Box keeps sorting by the "Updated" field, which completely messes up the indexing order. Is it possible to have a Sort Preferences in Settings so one could select which field should be the default for sorting?

17. Expand Column for Files and Folders Report

    Sometimes I have users who ask for a files and folder report on a particular folder. After I receive the report I have to create an additional column for a link to the file/folder. I just use the existing information in the report, replace all F with f in the Item Type Column, and concatenate function in excel to create this. Would just like this to be a native addition for the report.

18. Department Folder Auto Provisioning and Updating

    When enterprise needs to provision and update department folders, Box Admins or each folder owners would need to manually create, configure and update folders according to the organizational structure and would need to manually invite/remove all the necessary collaborators.

    A new co-admin option that's more even more restrictive than the current 'View users' content' Content Manager role with the following abilities:

    --View users (like currently possible)
    --Browse user folder trees (like currently possible)
    --View file properties (uploaded, version #, modified, name, description, etc.)
    --View collaborators on folders and add new collaborators to folders
    --NO ability to preview or download files or folders (this is the critical item that's missing currently for Coke as even the 'view' Content Manager role currently allows the co-admin to preview and download files/folders)

    This could possibly also be solved by breaking up the Content Manager co-admin roles into a series of checkboxes that allow/disallow certain actions by that Co-Admin in Content Manager.

    I suggest the implementation of a "Shortcut Function" for immediate bookmark creation when issuing a shared link. Here's how it would work:

    Procedure: Right-click on the file or folder intended for bookmarking.
    Functionality: A new bookmark (file) is instantly generated and stored in the same folder.
    Result: A shared link is automatically associated with the targeted file or folder, with default access permissions.

    The generated bookmark can be easily moved or duplicated to necessary folders, serving as a centralized shortcut for convenient access to the targeted file or folder.
    This addition would significantly enhance user efficiency and contribute to a more seamless workflow within your platform. I appreciate your consideration of this feature request.
