1. Admin view - Users and Groups

   the current filters don't let me choose just managed users, it includes appusers which I do not want to see. I also need to filter by the date added. The old UI design had this and it was very helpful, the new design is missing it.

3. provide a way to auto-check the 'Only one assignee is required to complete this task' checkbox

   This is when you are adding approval tasks to a document. If you forget to check this, it can lead to everyone in a group having to go in and approve the document before it can be completed.

5. Is there a way to make comments on MBox folders private/directed toward specific individuals in an MBox group without seen by others?

   I am part of a team that uses MBox to securely upload and view videos of infants who are identified at risk of adverse neurodevelopmental conditions to conduct a standardized assessment on each infant. Typically, when team members upload videos of their patients, we have to send multiple emails in order to a) notify the team that a new video has been uploaded and b) respond to the individual who uploaded the video to offer feedback/scoring. Is there a way to make the MBox comments privatized in order to reduce a bias effect on scoring the videos (and minimize the number of emails we have to send)?

6. Improve the UX when editing filters for a saved report

   When editing the filters on a saved report, it is difficult to review the data in the "Users and Groups" field as it is very squashed.

   Can you consider making this section larger so it is easier to view any users or groups included in the report. Or maybe have a button to export the list to a text file for easier viewing and modification.

7. Collapsible folder tree/structure for Box Notes for Desktop

   As mentioned in other feedback, right now only having "Recent", "Favorites", and "Inbox" as filters makes organizing and looking through notes difficult.

   It would be interesting to either 1) integrate the user's folder tree in the Box Notes view or 2) have subfolders within "My Box Notes" show up as the structure.

8. Auto-redirect to Box account after logging in once and typing in Box.com in the address bar

   One of our users does not like the fact that Box auto re-directs to his Box account after logging in to his browser once, then opening up a new tab and typing in Box.com.

   Example:

   1. Login to Corporate account
   2. Open new tab/window and type http://www.box.com and hit enter
   3. Page loads to corporate Box account and does not allow me to go to box.com public website

   It could be addressed by an intermediary page that offers both options, or it could be addressed by identifying that the user is logged in, still navigating to the path requested (e.g. Box.com) and then adding a Tab (due to logged in state) of My Box (or some equivalent name) that when selected takes the user to their Box account.

   The point is to provide functionality, not take it away because a specific group has other needs.

   This is a rare use case where a logged in Box user wants to see the public website.

   Given the relatively minor affected population, we will not introduce friction for our product to solve for this use case.

9. Google Doc "share" from google.

   When using V2 of the box integration with google docs, apparently the ability to "share" the document from google itself, was apparently removed (it shows as available at 1:05 of this box video https://support.box.com/hc/en-us/articles/360043696854-Inviting-Collaborators )

   Removing this functionality is not only cumbersome, it creates HUGE potential security issues.

   I would like users in our organization to be able to store these google documents in box, to avoid having to manage multiple file storage systems. For one thing, it is cumbersome and unintuitive to have to go to box to invite a person to collaborate with my google doc. And then for the user to have to go through box and then know to click to edit the file to get to the google doc. That's like having to go through your neighbor's house to get to your own refrigerator.

   But even worse, it creates HUGE potential security issues. In the real world, people often mistakenly invite "collaborators" to the wrong file. EASY to do when busily viewing a list of nearly identical documents in a box folder. OR worse, they invite collaborators to the entire folder and all its subfolders. Potentially CATASTROPHIC depending on the contents of those folders. This kind of thing happens in the real world, no matter how much you train them. Like I was saying above, I don't want users to go through the neighbor's house AT ALL. I just want to give them the soda or whatever I want them to have. which is not related to the neighbor's house at all. They have no business in the neighbor's house at all.

   When a user shares a google document from within the google interface, there is no mistaking which document is being shared. And there is no potential for sharing any other document or a whole directory of documents.
   
   Basically this new version of this integration REMOVES the very collaborative features of google docs, and adds a layer of complexity, along with a potential for massive mistakes ranging from problematic to disastrous.
   This integration as it is now, with regular google "sharing" removed, basically guarantees that we won't use it. There is virtually no upside and HUGE potential downsides.
   
   Honestly, I can't believe google even allowed their own "share" button to be removed from their premium suite of apps.
   
   It's a HUGE security and workflow oversite, done I can only imagine, to force people to go through and see box, even if that causes the previously listed gymnastics and potential debacles. Thus it seems it was done with marketing in mind, rather than a benefit to the users. This was incredibly shortsighted.
   
   As mentioned. We will NOT use this feature as is, for the potential security vulnerabilities alone. Thus the current implementation is driving us AWAY from box. Since we have to use google docs for these use cases.
   
   PLEASE revert the feature to enable the regular "share" functionality in Google apps.

   UPDATE: Actually it's worse than I thought. Just tested between two of my accounts. Since the "sharing" apparently only works by inviting "collaborator" as an editor, the user actually has to CREATE a box account just to edit the google sheet. I mean SERIOUSLY. What a ridiculous marketing move. Definitely will NOT use this integration as it is now. It's pretty much all downside, virtually no upside.
   If you want happy Box users, PLEASE don't do stuff like this. We like it when you HELP us. Not when you use us to be mules to market your platform to our business associates. I'd brag about you MORE (and have) if you just make my life easier. NOT when you do stuff like this. Just put it back the way it was.

11. Ability to view Box folders and files more clearly

    Currently, when we look at a list of folders or files, we feel that they are displayed in a cluttered way.
    This makes it difficult to find a particular item.
    We manage and respond to items by grouping them by tags.

    We believe that the following features will make Box even more convenient for us to use in the future

    ・Assign any colour to the folders in the box
    ・Assign any colour to the tags in the Box
    ・The order of the tags in the Box can be rearranged by dragging.

12. Dynamic File Requests

    The ability to utilize File Request to send dynamic file requests. We often request multiple files from our clients. These requests can be 25+ items. It would be beneficial to send a list of required information where the client (external user) could could upload the requested file and the file would retain the name of the item on the original list.

    The ability for external users (those with the file request) to see what items on the request list have been fulfilled and which items are still outstanding would be ideal.

    It would also be extremely helpful to be able to view a dashboard of specific requests to see what items had been provided and what items are still outstanding. I believe this functionality would be useful for all in the professional services industry and all that request numerous files from one person or group. Being able to create request templates for these dynamic file requests would be idea.

13. Add a new security level of "Restrict"

    I understand the current security levels may once have reflected some technical details e.g. the permissions that might be assigned in a particular file system. However, this could be enhanced by a new security level ("Forbidden", "Excluded", "Restrict" or whatever makes sense) that is applied by exception.

    A simple example:

    Folder "News" has All Company as viewers.

    Group "Contractors" are invited as "Restrict" access.

    Whenever any user seeks access e.g. viewing the contents of the folder that contains folder "News", they will of course inherit the permissions from the parent, but before being allowed to see "News" Box first checks if the current user has the "Restrict" permission, if so "News" is excluded from the folder listing, if not then the normal permission behaviour applies.

    This check would also need to be done for linking using shared links or object id, since if my intent is to "Restrict" a user's access that should always be checked and always enforced.

14. A list of users who have sent "email to all" in a report.

    The "Email All" function on the collaborator list screen on the folder screen allows you to check which user sent what message and when in the "User Activity Report", but it does not allow you to check which user the "Email All" was sent to.
    I understand that "Email to all" cannot be sent to users with pending invitations or when there are more than 500 collaborators,
    but when there are a large number of collaborators, it is difficult to know how many users are pending, and checking the "Collaboration Report" takes time.
    In addition, there may be cases where emails cannot be sent due to reasons other than those mentioned above, so I would like a function to be implemented that would make it easier to identify users who have not been able to send emails by clearly indicating in the "User Activity Report" whether emails have been sent to that user.

    Can we have more granular on the detection rules, e,g, down to user groups, or individual account level - allowing customers to set priorities as high for some user groups, but low for others.  For some users, a customer may expect high levels of downloads/activity in Box and this may be in peaks and troughs - therefore potentially a lower priority, whereas with execs this activity should be treated as a higher priority and greater risk.

    The option to require 2FA for external collaborators has been delivered earlier this year. This feature, while independent from the SSO configuration should answer to the original ask.

18. Company Shared Link Controls: 'Auto-Expiration' to Only Impact Company Links ('People in your company' links)

    Our customers would like to set default expiration for 'People in your company' links but not for 'Invited user only' links.

    Recently, we have been able to set default expiration for Open links.
    This change have been improved usability, our customers are pleased about it.

    But it is still impossible to set a default expiration only for 'People in your company'links (without setting for 'Invited user only' links).
    Some of our customers need to limit the sharing of information internally as well and hope this setting.
    Example.
    ・pharmaceutical industry
    ・manufacturing industry
    ・Companies with group companies

    Now, they have to set default expiration for all shared links, but it would seriously compromise usability.
    Their Box admins worry that users will continue to use attachments files because of bad usability of shared links.
    Please consider this idea.

19. Box Events API Collaboration Events don't show the same details as the user activity report

    When a User Activity report is generated, we can show events for 'Change user or group role' and 'Removed collaborator'. As part of these records there are additional details provided showing:

    From: ROLE, To: ROLE, Folder ID: 1234

    When using Box Events via API we also see events for COLLABORATION_ROLE_CHANGE and COLLABORATION_REMOVE. These line up to the records in the User Details report however they are missing the details about the previous states of the collaboration.

    As part of our company policy for managing collaborations, I need to be able to fetch the previous roles of users so we can automatically revert these changes (in specific cases).

    I see that the information is being captured, but not passed through to the API for some reason. Generating reports manually each time is not a viable solution, so I'm looking to get these additional details added into the event's additional details dictionary.

    When a User Activity report is generated, we can show events for 'Change user or group role' and 'Removed collaborator'. As part of these records there are additional details provided showing:

    Our organisation (ad agency, 200+ staff) works for 70+ customers. The customers are assigend to teams. In Box, every customer has a project folder, and a team is assigned to a folder (with editor rights).
    But not all members of a team work for all clients of a team, and even if the work for the respective customer, they do not participate at all folder/files of a customer. Regards notification this means that all team members are spammed with notifications for clients they don't work for and files or folder they never participated on.

    I would mean a huge admin effort for the folder co-owners if we would change the way of assigning users to a folder (currently it's done on group per folder-level, the problem wouldn't come up if every single user is manually assigned to every sinlge file/folder)

    An idea would be that a user could get a "unsubscribe" function on a folder and file level. This would mean, they wouldn' receive notifications on the unsubscribed folders/files.
