Have Box Notes Accessed via Drive Open in Box Notes Desktop Application
Right now, when a user opens a Box Note from Drive on their desktop, the note is opened in the webapp, rather than the Box Notes desktop app they have installed.
A better flow would be to have those notes open in the Notes desktop app instead

Integrate Box for Office with Box Edit
Integrate use of Box Edit (Open files from Box.com, edit, and save back) with Box for Office (Create new files in Word, Excel, etc. and save to Box.com folders).
For example - I frequently generate a series of documents that originate in Box.com, but I want to use the Box SAVE AS command to save them back to the same Box.com folder (or one adjacent to it in the file structure) with a new name. Box Drive path for InDesign linked files
Background:
We’ve moved the location of Box Drive to be outside the username location for our users. This allows for multiple users to work with InDesign , collaborate, and reference the correct asset links without issue. Reference – community.box.com/t5/Deploying-Managing-Box..Issue:

Directly link between box drive and box for outlook & box notes
Currently, Box for outlook can only access to box online which requires authentication each time which is not a smart process. Could we have box for outlook link directly to box drive to save and upload files instead? This will be more efficient for box drive users.
Also have the same issue with box notes. This cannot be accessed directly to/from box drive.

Box Drive search for specific folder
Currently there is not way to search for a folder name offline. All you can search for is a file name. This can be problematic if you have multiple files with the same name, but just in different locations. Suggest being able to search for file name and then open file.

Box Drive Integration with Windows Information Protection
Some users want to protect all or part of the folders on Box Drive with Windows Information Protection (WIP) as a corporate area, but Box Drive do not currently have direct integration.

Add file path to macOS Box Drive search function
Since macOS Finder will not search Box Drive by filename correctly, the only real way to search for files is using Box Drives built-in search function. This will successfully find a file, but it does not show you the path in the folder tree. Could you please add the containing folder and path in the search results box? Ideally the user would also be able to open a finder window directly to that containing folder directly from a click in the search results box.

Alert notification when moving folders in Box Drive
When the user move from the folder sharing with collaborators (the folder’s owner is others) to the private folder on Box Drive, it occur an error after a while. I think I want to inform the user prompty before doing that if their operation is wrong.
Please display an alert like same as operation on web UI before the user try to move folders on Box Drive.20 votesThank you for the suggestion. We currently do not have this planned on our roadmap.

Open in Box Drive
Ability to click a link that opens the current web box folder on the local Box Drive. This would allow for quick local file editing when you navigated to the folder via web Box.

Automatically save Box Drive logs
I want Box Drive logs to be automatically saved in Box.
Currently, Box Drive logs are deleted by log rotation, and even a customer wants to ask Box to investigate, the logs are no longer left.
As a result, Box, Inc. sometimes cannot investigate it.Because Box recommends an unlimited-capacity digital workplace environment, I think it's nonsense that we lose logs.
Therefore, I would like to be able to automatically save the Box Drive log to Box as an option.

Folders accessed via Box for Salesforce do not appear in Box Drive until re-login
We’re finding that when a user visits a folder from Box for Salesforce, they then have access to the client folder from Box.com but it does not appear in Box Drive until they log out of Box Drive and back in.
Please fix this
8 votesSalesforce folders appear in the latest version of Box Drive without requiring log out/in. If you're seeing this issue, please file a ticket with our Box Support team.

I would like shortcut files created on Box Drive to be reflected on Box Web as well.
I am aware that shortcut files (.lnk) created in Box Drive (on Explorer) are ignored as a file type and cannot be synchronized.
However, in my work, I use Box Drive a lot and sometimes create shortcuts, but I can't share them because they are not synced, and they are deleted when I log out of the system.
I feel this kind of specification is very inconvenient.

Box Drive(エクスプローラー上)で作成したショートカットファイル(.lnk)は、
無視されるファイルの種類として対象となっており同期が出来ないことは認識してます。
しかしながら業務上、Box Driveの利用が多くショートカットの作成することがありますが、
同期されないことで共有もできず、またログアウトしたことで削除されてしまう。
このような仕様だと大変不便に感じてます。

Hide/Turnoff Box Drive Error message
With Box Drive, users are getting many error messages pertaining to incompatible file names. Users would like the ability to prevent continued notification since most of these files do not below to them. Possibly could be handled with a [Dont show again] or [Remove from alerts] check box
10 votesYou can disable notifications through OS controls for Box Drive. That being said, we are working on improving error handling in Drive to address the root problems and hopefully lead you to disabling notifications as they are an important part of our UX!

Box Drive Warning When File Path is too Long
There is a known issue with Box Drive that if a file path is exceeds a character count limit, then the file cannot be opened on desktop, however it can be opened via Box on the web. The issue is, when a user has a file on their desktop, that has a current file path within the character count limits, then moves the file to Box Drive within Windows Explorer and the new path in box exceeds the character limits. Expose EXIF Metadata in the Box Drive when Media (Photo, etc.) is Uploaded via Box Drive or Web App
We sort hundreds of thousands of photos taken by our users. We need to be able to sort within Box Drive in a Windows Explorer view, and one of the ways they sort is via the Date Taken attribute.
