Unmanaged User feature should be more prominent (UX tweak)
It would be helpful if the Unmanaged Users management feature was more prominent. when trying to add a new managed user, if a matching unmanaged user already exists, an error is displayed and no other information given. I had to fumble to figure out why, partly because the feature isn't obvious. Suggestion: change the External Users tab name to External & Unmanaged Users, and add an Unmanaged Users button next to External users. File Request User Configuration - error messaging
When configuring File Request for "enable for select users", users remain in the list even if they have been deleted from Box. If you try to add a new user to the list, you will receive an error message. The reason for the error is because a deleted user is still in the list, however the error is a standard message and does not explicitly say this. So customers do not know why they are getting an error. There should be clearer messaging in the error so customers know what they need to do.

Just like the storage value of Insights in the Admin console has been corrected, we request that the user details report will also be corrected to display more correct values.
Due to the UI change, the Insights storage in the management console now displays a relatively correct value, but the user details report has not been corrected and is now showing a lower value.

We would like the ability to @mention users invited via groups.
A user can only invite users to folders via group. At present, if a user is invited via a group, they cannot @mention this user.

Add additional user reporting without "Export User" report
There is currently no way to report on Users besides the export user option which exports the entire list of users in the enterprise along with a lot of useful details.
It would be very useful if admins could generate reports with the options in the sort by on the webapp. While we can use the sort by on the web, exporting the users provides more details on one screen admins can review that the webapp does not provide unless you drill into each user.

Customize Collaborator Permission Levels
Any chance that we can have some flexibility in the "Collaborator Permission Levels." Can we develop a tool to edit these levels, like check which function the user can have. Having set levels with no flexibility is difficult because every user needs different access.

Relay workflow to get deleted or transfer to Box admin when the user is deleted
When the Box admin is in process of deleting a user with a Relay workflow and closes the browser by accident, the workflow ends up with no owner.

Salesforce integration to support Salesforce platform user licenses
The Box for Salesforce integration installation guide and FAQ state that the integration only works if Salesforce users have a full "Salesforce" user license. This is a deal breaker for many organizations that have Salesforce users with the more affordable Salesforce "Platform" user license.
Since the integration supports custom Salesforce objects, I don't see why the full Salesforce licenses would be required for each user. I would understand if the integration user (Box service account) needs a full Salesforce license, but individual users should be able to use this integration with a Salesforce platform license. Allow Shared folders to be owned by Domain ( vs user)
Similar to Google's Shared Drives, allowing admins to set ownership of a shared drive at the domain level vs user (human or service) would minimize the need for Service Accounts or changing ownership as users leave the company.

Ability to restict folder view to only show folders the user owns
Allow ability to restrict folder view to ONLY those folders which the user owns. Either a separate view or something like a checkbox to enable/disable the restriction.
For example, a user is leaving the company and wants to transfer ownership of their folders to another user. There is no easy way to see what folders you own. With hundreds of folders it could take a long time to find the ones you know to transfer them.

Shield classification - Admin console visibility and user reporting
1) "Whenever any user tries to apply the classification, Box console is not able to tell the owner which users would be affected due to this."

Give me better tools for managing external users. More search options, different sorts and ability to do mass operations.
When you have a large number of external users, you find it cumbersome to manage. It would be helpful to have better ways to search for users and ways to edit existing external users. Also, adding expiration dates to their access would be helpful.

Wants to find move operation from the source folder
User Activity report searches the destination folder which the file currently exists. However in move operation, the customer wants to search not only the destination folder but also the source folder.

Box Hubs: Allow search functionality within Box Hubs for users without Box accounts
Current functionality: If a user without a Box account access a Box Hub through a shared link, they do not see the search bar
Desired functionality: A user without a Box account accessing a Box Hub will still be able to use the search bar
Use Case: Using Box as a marketing DAM housing photos. A hub could be used to provide access to approved photos so that non-Box users can search for approved photos they need.

Able to get Box user ID by querying the username
Hi, currently in order to find a box user id for ONE user, we need to use

to get ALL users and then filter for the specific user.If would be nice if we can simply query a user's box user id by the username.
1 voteThere is an optional parameter called `filter_term` which can be used to retrieve a user on the basis of the name or login. See link below and a snippet from the dev docs.

Limits the results to only users who’s name or login start with the search term.For externally managed users, the search term needs to completely match the in order to find the user, and it will only return one user at a time.
