  1. Improve UI for folder structure drop-downs

    I find it visually confusing that the drop-down carat for my Folders is the same size, color, and thin-stroked icon as the "X" which deletes my folders. I can't tell you how many times I've inadvertently deleted a Favorite because my brain is expecting a 2nd drop-down menu. Some differentiation in color, size, position, treatment, etc. might help.

  2. Leverage the External Identity providers like OKTA to securely access the Box API’s.

    Context : Allow box subscription tenants to leverage the External Identity providers like OKTA to securely access the Box API’s.

    Use case: Tenants like us want to centralize the access to the APIs to our external vendors partners and internal teams. It is always beneficial to centralize the access using OKTA like OAUTH 2.0 providers and move to zero trust.

  3. Enable option for Box Relay to trigger a contract for e-signature after approval

    Enable option for Box Relay to trigger a contract for e-signature AFTER approval.

    E.g. after Legal redlines and approves a contract, then they have the option to: (1) whoever approved the task then signs the contract as part of the same workflow; (2) submit for esignature to whoever triggered the workflow; (3) customize who the contract is redirected to for esignature (e.g. to XXX@YYY.com).

  4. Request for improvement of mobile app features

    I would like to request improvements to the following features of the mobile app:

    1.Regarding the ‘biometric authentication’ when the security option ‘Require passcode’ is enabled, biometric authentication cannot be used on Android tablets equipped with facial recognition. I would like it to be modified so that it can be used.

    2.Regarding the selection of passcode timeout time, there is an ‘immediate’ option on iOS, but not on Android. I would like it to be modified so that ‘immediate’ can be selected on Android as well.

  5. Restructure API endpoints to only use one base URL

    We're currently pushing documents from a different system through your APIs using an integration platform.
    Here we are uploading files and then assigning metadata templates to them for later use in searches and checking for versions, etc.

    The integration platform vendor is taking pay through every baseline URL we add to the system as a connector and then allowing us to basically have as many connections to the same system as we want using that base URL. This is relevant to our challenge.

    When utilizing the Box API, the base URL (based on the documentation I've found) for uploading documents…

  6. Box drive's system extension update

    I am running BoxDrive version 2.23.422

    After I upgrade my Mac (for example, from BigSur 11.5 -> 11.6), I get an error dialog the first time I try to open Box Drive. It says "Box Drive's system extension failed to load. Please make sure it has been enabled in System Preferences > Security & Privacy and then restart your computer. ....".

    Reinstalling Box Drive and restarting the computer doesn't fix it. I found a workaround at https://support.box.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/360051323454-Box-Drive-s-system-extension-failed-to-load which fixes it, but I have to apply that workaround each time I upgrade my computer. The problem should either be fixed, or…

  7. show file name in Version History

    Some files with autosave create new versions every couple of minutes (2 hours in a Keynote = 238 Versions). It is necessary to be able to view filename in the Version History sidebar, not just in the preview pane. It is impossible otherwise to determine which file I'm looking for just by looking at version numbers.

  8. Enable ability for Admin and/or Co-Admin to view, edit, or take over anybody's account and/or folders, EXCEPT XXX people (e.g. CEO or CFO)

    Enable ability for Admin and/or Co-Admin to view, edit, or take over anybody's account and/or folders, EXCEPT XXX accounts (e.g. CEO or CFO) or YYY folders or ZZZ files (e.g. highly sensitive financial information or employee PII).

    Right now, it seems like the only Co-Admin privileges are "view / edit / take over everybody" or "view / edit / take over nobody."

  9. automatically disable link expiry

    I never want my shared links to expire. I wish there was a way for me to set a link expiry preference on my account since I have to follow this process for every boxnote.

    1. create a boxnote.
    2. navigate to the folder it is in.
    3. create shared link.
    4. go to link settings.
    5. disable link expiry.

    I wish I could instead just create a box note, click share and be done with it knowing my link won't expire.

  10. API) Add 'enterprise.id' to the collaboration user object.

    When retrieving the list of collaborators, we want to know whether each collaborator is an internal or external user, like in Box Web.

    The collaborators object does not include information to determine whether a collaborator is internal or external user. As a result, we have to call the Users endpoint, which increases processing time.

    API Call:
    GET https://api.box.com/2.0/collaborations/:collaboration_id

    We would appreciate it if the EID could be included in the collaboration response to improve efficiency.

  11. Increase the maximum message size in Update task API to more than 250 chars

    Calls to the Box Task API with a message size greater than 255 chars throw an error a statusCode 500 error.

    The relatively small maximum for message size limits the utility of the API and is not in line with the Box UI that allows a very large message to be input.

  12. Show file paths on "Error updating *** items..."

    If BoxDrive has some errors, it shows error on "Error updating *** items..." by clicking the gear icon.
    Then the error window says, "The original file was deleted on Box" on my environment.
    But it doesn't show the paths, but also filenames.
    So it would be very helpful if you could improve it to show the filenames and its path.

    macOS 13.6.7 (22G720)
    Box Drive 2.39.179

  13. Download Collaboration

    Uploading a file from a web browser
    I would like to have the ability to automatically download a file uploaded from a web browser on a different computer.
    This will greatly help in improving the efficiency of indirect collaboration with other software.

    1. upload a file (csv) from a browser (chrome) to Box on computer A. 2.
    2. PC "B" (Win11) has a software program installed on it, and the csv file is imported by the software.

  14. Provide the ability to customize the message that is sent to workflow participants when starting a Relay workflow.

    I have a review workflow that I want to use repeatedly. Each time I start the workflow I have specific instructions that I want the workflow participants to see. This is usually a complete timeline for the review cycle in which the current review might be the first or subsequent steps.

    My workaround right now is to send a separate email to the workflow participants, but this means they get 2 emails about the same review.

  15. Open Box Drive in full screen mode

    1 - Box Drive Icon on the Task Bar should Open the Box Drive Search Tool, not the Bod Drive Folder in Windows Explorer.

    2 - The Box Drive application should open up on full-screen view, with the BOX Folders on the left (as in Windows Explorer) - With the Box Search Tool on the right. This will go a VERY LONG way to help new users to "get comfortable with" / transition to BOX!

  16. Specific Access to subfolders in the same Folder

    Is it possible to give to users view permission only to specific subfolders within a folder? Example: I want to upload to a master folder 5 subfolders to our daughter company partners and I want to make sure that the 3 subfolders out of the 5 of them will be viewed only from their bosses. This flexibility helps you to avoid creating 2 different folders for the same Task-Subject.

  17. Box new account

    Here is an idea to make Box new accounts on-boarding more user friendly.
    My account team was not clear on any ETA when to expect the account to become active.
    Not a single email was sent what to expect and at what time. After 2 weeks the purchased licenses were assigned to another account. After that I was told to submit a ticket to support to resolve the problem created during the initial provisioning of the account.
    I have to say that's not the level of customer service I was expecting from Box.com

    Hello After creation of New file
    1.its asking to reload the user manually(Why user need to reload manually?)

    2.after reloading finding that file is very difficult
    such as searching again in the search box(headache)

  19. assign folder

    Where folder contents need to be updated from time-to-time, have ability to assign various people as assigned "Folder Manager” who are responsible for managing the contents for accuracy. Shoudl be viewable in the folders view (ability to set a new column). 1) Tags could work; 2) It seems column headers can not be changed; 3) metadata doesn't seem to work (especially for non-tech savvy people.

  20. Product Support - I need phone support and remote desktop control.

    I have a small business with 6 employees and we all share using box drive. I have spent about 3-5 hours over the past 2 weeks in the "chat" and email support world trying to solve a problem. I need phone support. and I need box to remotely control my desktop to solve problems. I do not have an IT department.
