  1. Notification if an edit is made to a file

    When a user makes an edit to an excel document using Microsoft Excel Online a notification should go out just like the notifications for Download, Upload, Comments, Previews, and Deletes.

  2. Upload Completion Notification

    I love how I am notified when a set of files are uploaded into a specific folder but I am having one very key issue. I will receive the notification upon upload, but many times because it is 10+ large images, the images are not done uploading. I will review the folder but be unaware that the Upload is not complete. I may see 5 images with 5 still uploading.

    Is there a way Box could show us of upload progress? OR possibly send a second notification when the upload is complete?

  3. Notification of uploads from external users

    Ability to set Notification of uploads from external users only. Essentially, want to know when an external user has uploaded a file so we don't have to constantly check specific folder to see if client (ie external user) has uploaded a file.

  4. How can I find out how much storage I've used, and how much I have left?

    Why is there now place that shows "You've used up this much of your storage"?, or even, "You have this much storage space left...." It's stupid to have to guess how much I have, hoping if I upload a folder it'll make it.

  5. Download notification when opening a file

    Currently. Download notification. Opening a file through Drive, which downloads the file on demand, and does not trigger this notification. For example, user A download a file through Drive, Folder owner B doesn't receive download notification although the folderset download notification in Folder settings. The download event should trigger sending notification. Expected Behavior: Opening a file through Drive, which downloads the file on demand, and it triggers this notification. Steps to Reproduce: 1.   6. Notification email format

    Notifications should include file path or as much of the path the user receiving the notification is authorized for, not just file name and operation (download, upload new verion).

  7. Regarding the display correction of "Inbox" in Box Notes

    In Box Notes' "Inbox," the title, timestamp/last editor, and storage folder name are displayed for each item, but once the timestamp/last editor reaches the second line, the storage folder is hidden.
    It is possible to access the destination folder by searching for the file name, but if there are multiple files with the same name, it may be difficult to distinguish them, which could result in lost time.
    If the title is long, it will be displayed as "….." and you can check the full name by hovering the cursor over it, so I would like the timestamp/last editor to…

  8. Allow email notification in folder settings via file request link.

    Now, user cannot get any notification if the file is uploaded via file request link even if notification settings are enabled in the folder settings.

  9. Fix file/folder size, counts, dates and storage

    I'd like to preface this by saying that this is a bug that needs to be fixed, not an idea. Even so, Box suggested we post this here to get others to chime in and say that this should be fixed.

    This is a problem that's been around for at least 1.5 years.

    Often, when an account's folders and files are transferred to someone else, the account from which the data was transferred still shows something greater than 0 bytes owned. This becomes a problem for deleting that user, because we can't be sure if the transfer worked, and we…

    We are on track towards fixing this. We have made significant improvements in our Files, and Folder counts and their related sizes. They now happen in a near realtime speed and we also have a redundant process that runs and fixes these counts nightly. The current improvements are visible in most of your folders browsing experience and the enterprise level counts. We are in process of fixing counts that you can see for a given user, this will release in Calendar year 2024'Q3. There are also few minor improvements planned for the last quarter of the year.

  10. Irrelevant Box drive storage pop-up for corporate users

    I'm on a corporate plan with my company. Why does Box keep showing this pop-up message everyday suggesting me to buy more storage?
    Don't you know I have no control over my quota or account type?

  12. Native Picture Storage - No More 'Box Notes Images' Folder

    Adding a photo to a Box note currently creates a 'Box Notes Images' folder in the parent folder where the Box Note is located. This seems somewhat odd and unintuitive, especially with the shared link permission quirks with the photos.

    To resolve this, Box Notes should natively 'store' the pictures within the Box Note itself and not as part of a separate 'Box Notes Images' folder.

    Notification Email - End user self-service

    I would like to allow our managed users to update their own "Notification Email" setting. Right now it requires Admin/co-admin level access to make this change to an account.

    At least for our organization this is a user account option that we would like to delegate to the end users and allow them to edit the value in their profile.

    I realize that some organizations may want more control so ideally there would be an enterprise setting that determined whether end users can update the Notification emails value.

  15. Continuing misleading data in Box Admin console about exceeding storage limit and saying account upgrade is required

    For several YEARS now users like me have reported continuing misleading data in Box Admin console about exceeding the storage limit for plans with storage limits. The data is not slightly off; it can be 10GB or 20GB too high.

    Clearly some folks won't check this though and will just upgrade in the mistaken belief that they have to. That is not good practise folks, to put it mildly!

  16. Empty Folder Notification

    Someway to turn on notification based on folder or another relay.
    Where specific folders cannot be empty, and after a week or so it is empty, we get a notification and alert once a month about it.

  17. Enhance the 'Storage Aggregate' Chart in Admin Console - Allow Exporting & Adjustments

    The 'Storage Aggregate' chart on the homepage of the Admin Console is currently the only way for an admin to see/view the total storage used on a daily basis within their EID

    As such, we should enhance this chart in the following ways:
    1. Allow this chart to be expanded/made bigger
    2. Allow customization of the time period - 'show me total daily storage over the past 2 weeks, or month, etc.'
    3. All exporting of the total daily values into a simple CSV/Excel report

  18. Get Notification on upload

    Currently owner of the folder alone will get notifications when a file is uploaded. We have a requirement for the uploader of the file to get notification as well so that it will serve as an acknowledgement for the upload

    Transfer of ownership status notification for both accounts (Previous folder owner to New Owner).

    It is available on Box-web, but not avilable on Box-Drive. I need notification setting on Box-Drive.
