1. Box Mobile Uploads To Other Platforms

   iOS & Box for iOS do not currently allow uploads from Box to other platforms without saving files locally on the device. Uploading from Box directly to another application would be highly useful for those that operate on mobile.

2. I want to be able to look up files and folders by ID numbers within Box online

   I am trying to find a file within the trash of an admin account and I know the ID but am not allowed to search by the ID. Not being able to search by the ID means I have to go through 472 pages of results until I find the file I need due to search limitations.

3. version clean up

   Include a Box Relay workflow that cleans out versions older than N days -- useful for edge cases / teams that deal in high-volume document updates. For example: a spreadsheet is overwritten hourly and can have thousands of versions stored. Customer wants to systematically purge versions older than 10 days.

5. Box Forms Input UI

   When creating a form in Box Forms, it would be very helpful to be able to order questions in a configurable way or to at least be able to sort them. Currently, they are displayed in the order they were entered into Box (you can see this in the left nav bar, as well as pulldowns when selecting needed form fields), but if one were creating/managing a form over time, it becomes more difficult to track all of the form fields or to easily identify them.

   It would also be very helpful to be able to name the logic flows, as well as order them in a more logical order. When creating a form with many conditions as well as many fields, it can become difficult to find which logic flow does what since they are also in order of creation.

   When creating a form in Box Forms, it would be very helpful to be able to order questions in a configurable way or to at least be able to sort them. 6. file select toggle

   Place the select toggle to left of file/folder names. So many times I've checked the wrong file/folder as I use an ultra wide screen for design, and constantly scanning back to left to make sure I selected the right line. Just makes sense! Please update the UI - or make it so we can move it ourselves!

7. Relay Failure Notifications

   It would be extremely helpful if when a relay fails to execute, or stalls for an extended length of time, the admin gets a notification. Currently if a relay fails, or stalls indefinitely, noone is actually notified, and the only record of the failure or stall is in the tracking log of the individual relay. It would be far more efficient for me as an admin to be proactively notified of the issue.

8. hubs admin

   Hubs Admin setting for Create only (not Share)

   Box Hubs Admin setting to allow users to Create Hubs but not Share Hubs. I’m hesitant to roll out Hubs org wide given user’s ability to share hubs. Hubs override the folder/ file permissions, thus content where one user would not necessarily have permissions to a folder/ file could be granted permissions (or elevated permissions) to content they would not otherwise have.

9. Open edit screens of multiple files on Box at once /Box上の複数ファイルの編集画面を一度に開く

   When creating documents, we often have to open multiple documents on Box, and we have to open each one and operate them one by one.
   This method of operation requires a lot of time just to open the editing screen, so we would like to have a function that allows us to preview and open the editing screen for all files at once after selecting them.

10. Adding metadata to files uploaded by Box Forms

    When uploading files/content to Box Forms, have the ability to add the metadata attributes captured on the form to the files. And for managed users in the Box account provide the option to add metadata to all files, selected files and/or selected metadata on selected files. Similar to file uploader in Crooze.

14. JSON file with metadata template field names for Doc Gen.

    We are using metadata to build documents using Doc Gen. The issue we constantly struggle with is building the template tags in the Doc Gen template from the fields in the metadata template. We don't know the exact field name to use in the JSON file so it requires some trial and error. It would be very helpful to generate the JSON file from the metadata template in the format needed to create the Doc Gen template tags.

15. Allow non-Admin users to configure sidebar defaults and button order on file-view page

    My workplace's Box system just switched to always showing Box AI as the default view in the sidebar when I view a file. I'd like it to go back to showing the recent activity or file details sidebar by default on the file view page, or be able to set the default myself without being an Enterprise Admin. It would also be nice to be able to rearrange the vertical buttons as a user-side configuration option.

16. Allow users without admin or co-admin permissions to output folder and file reports

    Since folder and file organization (data movement, migration, etc.) is something that each user must do by themselves, users can organize their files at their own convenience.
    It would be a hassle for both parties if the administrator had to output the list each time.

17. When building a hub, it would be beneficial to be able to add files and folders in which you have less than owner, co-owner or editor access

    Being able to add folders to view and upload files to a hub without higher (owner, co-owner, editor) access would allow much more functionality to the product.

    The Problem:
    When we invite an external partner from a domain that does not use Box, they are forced to sign up for a free, individual account to accept the collaboration. This creates a significant data governance risk and "Shadow IT" for our partners' organizations. Their IT departments have no visibility or control over these new accounts, and their employees might start using the personal storage for business data, bypassing company policy.

    Proposed Solution:
    We propose the creation of a new type of account, specifically for external collaboration. This "Collaboration-Only" or "Storage-less" account would have the following characteristics:

    • It would have no private storage space.
    • Its sole purpose would be to allow a user to authenticate and access the specific folders and files they have been invited to.
    • It would not function as a standalone, personal Box account.

    The Benefit:
    This feature would make Box a much safer and more enterprise-friendly platform for cross-company collaboration. It would allow our partners to access shared data without creating a data governance risk for their own company. This would eliminate a major barrier to collaborating on Box with new partners.
