  1. I have several reviewers that need independent approve/reject in parallel (simultaneously) rather than serially.

    We have 5 reviewers for a task, each having different elements they are responsible for reviewing. Currently we can require they each approve independently, however if one rejects the task is ended for all, regardless of whether they've reviewed it or not, approved it or not.

  2. 0 Second .mov files do not preview

    If a .mov file is 0 seconds in length, it fails to preview on Box.com and mobile applications. iOS for new versions defaults pictures to this file format. Therefore, many pictures taken on newer iPhones do not preview in Box.

  3. Collaborator Clean Up

    Collaborator Clean Up - In Account Settings / Collaborators, we want to add the ability to click on any collaborator and see what files and folders they have access to. When looking at the list, have a button available to remove them from specific folders as needed. This will be especially helpful when performing a CBN, Audit or Digital Clean up.

  4. Improve/Remove alert while editing files through Office Online

    As you know, following message comes when I edit file by Office Online.

    "XXXXX.xlsx" will open in Microsoft Excel Online in a new browser window.

    Changes made in Microsoft Excel Online will automatically be saved back to Box.

  5. Currently our event log does not log detailed about activity made in External Folders

    For example, copying files from an internal folder to an external folder our admin logs does not log the file name or details about the file. Only logs the File ID and target Folder ID.
    We should log activity made in external folders.

    Registering Webhooks against external folders detailed logs are exported. We should be logging the same details to our admin logs.

  6. Enable to obtain information about the uploader of a file uploaded via file request.

    I would like to use the Box API to obtain information about the uploader of a file uploaded via a file request.
    In the current specification, the "createdby" and "modifiedby" names of these files are both "Anonymous User" even if the file was uploaded by a user who is logged into Box.

    Current Edge(not Chromium based) is not able to upload hidden files and shortcuts by using the Upload Folders feature due to browser limitation.

    Enterprises who have a policy to only allow the usage of the legacy version of Microsoft Edge. Therefore, cannot back up hidden files to Box

  9. Hide/Turnoff Box Drive Error message

    With Box Drive, users are getting many error messages pertaining to incompatible file names. Users would like the ability to prevent continued notification since most of these files do not below to them. Possibly could be handled with a [Dont show again] or [Remove from alerts] check box

    You can disable notifications through OS controls for Box Drive. That being said, we are working on improving error handling in Drive to address the root problems and hopefully lead you to disabling notifications as they are an important part of our UX!

  10. Locating who/when files are Moved/Removed (accidentally or on purpose)

    If a user moves/renames/removes files, the URLs shouldn't simply be dead links now. Please record information so that impacted users know When the file was moved/removed, and WHO did the action.
    I recently had Box Notes and Folders get moved or removed. And while I know who SHOULD have been the owner of the content, anyone else having problems finding the content wouldn't know who to contact.
    So if a box link was previously valid, and that content has moved or removed, leaving some breadcrumb for the user, about who to contact, when the content was moved/removed, etc, can…

  11. restrict by file type at folder level

    Would like the ability to restrict File Types at the folder level, (with Waterfall rule would be ok, but ability to break waterfall would be a bonus).
    Currently we use Quarantine Policies to restrict .msg files in Box, but does not allow us to make exceptions by folder. (eg. to allow certain departments this ability, but block from others).

  14. Send a "here's how your items are shared" report to each user periodically

    One of the most common sources of security breaches is due to a user inadvertently sharing an item more broadly or for longer than they intended.

    A simple way to help limit those sorts of security breaches would be for Box to email every user a report periodically (configurable by the admin, but roughly monthly) that said "Here's how everything you own is shared with other people, and here's a link to the KB article that'll tell you how to fix it if it's not what you want", then showed a report of their folders, files, and shared links,…

  15. Should be able to share files with non Box users and they don't have to login/create a Box account.

    Why can non Box users not edit files without creating a log in. Is there a way that this can be done? I feel like they had this feature before when if you shared the file with the correct permissions folks could just open, edit the file and the changes would be saved.

  16. Box for Office - Access to Collections

    Now that we can organise our files in Box using Collections, it would be good to be able to access this functionality in the Office Apps. This is 'mainly' relevant to the Outlook Box add-in that comes as part of Box for Office for when you want to save to Box or insert from Box.
    Excel/Word/PowerPoint - I would argue that the best experience is opening from Edge/Chrome using Box Edit.

  17. When are you going to bring back file aliases? Bookmarks are not the same and don't cut it.

    We need to be able to create symlink/aliases for files in multiple locations so that we aren't forced to upload a file multiple times, in several folders.

    We use Box to allow our clients to download files, and we sort those in a way that makes sense for them. We also use Box to upload all of our files in a way that makes sense for our employees to find assets. Without symlinks/aliases this is tedious to do and ridiculous to manage.

    This feature is not currently planned, but it is a second-priority item for our team. A related feature—the ability to open a file in Box Drive from the web app—is on our roadmap and will be an initial step toward supporting this request.   19. Blocked Files: Allow Users Not to Be Prompted Every Time They Launch

    We keep .qbw files in Box and we are aware that Drive does not support them. However, every user gets a Drive error every time they launch and it's confusing for end users.
