View folders in Box notes
Right now you see a large collection of recent notes but no folder structure - have a view showing folders.
33 votesWe don't currently have this in roadmap. We have noted this feedback and will take this into consideration in future iterations of Notes.

Visible folder tree (selected folders) and Request access to folders
We face challenges with permission management and ensuring relevant access to folders for staff outside of their Division/Department/Countries. One great solution would be to have the possibility to display part of a folder tree, and to be able to request access to some folders within that folder tree. In this way, a funding person from an affiliate HQ could request access to the EA or PA country’s funding folder to the country funding focal point. This could technically be managed with a very complex use of Box Groups, but it would be an extremely useful alternative solution.

I would like the "Shared Link Report" to display information about the issuer of the shared link
Currently, the "Shared Link Report" does not output information about the issuer of a shared link, so you will need to check this in the "User Activity Report."
It is very inconvenient to have to print out two reports each time, so we would like to request an improvement to the functionality so that information about the issuer of the shared link is also displayed in the "Shared Link Report."

Allow edit access on shared links
Currently, we can choose the access permissions for shared links. However, we want a way to grant edit permission after accessing the link. (Not through the way of adding a collaborator and then sending a shared link to invited people)
We would like to request that you consider adding the edit permission which we can set for shared links
in your future release. It is very difficult for us when we want to edit files for multiple people temporarily because we have to create a dedicated area and assign the permissions every time.
It would also be very helpful if…

External user verification via TOTP for shared links
Please consider adding a TOTP verification option for shared links. You could allow a link to be shared to an email address but require TOTP verification via that same email address. This would help verify that only someone with access to the email address we shared with can access the content without forcing them to signup for a free Box account.
Thank you

API Support for Managing Shared Links on Hubs
This request is to add Box API capabilities to view, create, update, and remove Shared Links for Hubs. Currently, there is no API support for managing Shared Links on Hubs, which limits automation and integration with enterprise workflows.
Enabling this functionality would allow for programmatic control of Hub sharing, improve governance, and support scalable content distribution strategies.

Easier way to create a bookmark in Box from shared link generation
Bookmark takes too many steps even when saving a Box's shared link. It should be easier to create a bookmark of a shared Link from adoption perspective.
As-Is: 1. Generate a shared link 2. Copy the link 3. Move to folder where I want to save a bookmark 4. Create Bookmark and paste&name the link
To-Be: 1. Generate a shared link 2. Prepare a prompt (probably in the shared Link generation popup) and select "Create Bookmark" and user can select folder they would like to save the link in within the same prompt 3. Save the bookmark (without actually moving…

Make admin console reports (Folders & Files, Collaborations, Shared Links) run at scale
I saw on the Community site that there is a 10 million item limit, but my company has way more items than that. It is important for us to have these reports for security audits.

About the shared link in the browser URL field.
About the shared link in the browser URL field.
I would like the displayed shared link address to be selectable below.
・Display up to the file or folder ID
・ Display ID and shared linkIf the shared link is also displayed, the collaborator will not be able to access the shared link when the shared link expires. If the display is up to the ID, the collaborator will have permanent access.

Add further columns to Shared Links report
In order to prepare a csv file to bulk update existing shared links, it is necessary to
A) run TWO reports - a BOX USERS Report (CLI command), and a SHARED LINKS ReportIf however, you wish to provide a list of shared links to each Box user who created the link(s), then a THIRD report is needed, a USER ACTIVITY Report (for max years, Items Shared action). This report needs to be filtered to show only the latest date/user that created the link (NB a shared link may be created more than once)
B) then the BOX USERS Report…

Remove multiple collaborators from folders
Box currently does not have a way to remove multiple collaborators at bulk.
Currently, admin needs to manually remove multiple users by opening the appropriate folder and removing users one at a time.Suggestion can also apply to removing collaborators from multiple folders.
103 votesDue to other higher priority items, this has been deprioritized.

New Shared Link Setting for OTP to Specific Email Addresses
Proposing a new Shared Link setting or type that allows users to send a shared link to a specific email address which requires a OTP password, similar to the authentication used when an individual is sent a Sign Request via Box Sign.
This would allow for a simpler, more secure user experience when sharing one-off links than password-protecting a public link.

Maintaining Login State via Shared Links
We have encountered an issue with Box Hubs when accessed via shared links. Specifically, when users access a Hub page through a shared link and then navigate to folders within the Hub, the login state is not maintained. As a result, users are treated as non-logged-in visitors and cannot perform actions such as downloading files.
This behavior effectively prevents internal sharing of Hubs using shared links, which limits collaboration capabilities.
We kindly request that you improve the functionality so that users accessing Box Hubs via shared links can maintain their logged-in status throughout navigation within the Hub. This enhancement would…

Allow Us To Move Collaborator Folders to a sub-folder without removing the permissions
When a user shares a folder with us it sits in our Root folder. Can these show up in a Shared folder to save our Root folder having a load of odd name folders. We believe you can do this in Dropbox.
ideally we need to be able to change the folder name at our end too without amending it at the user end.
