Option to Designate Which Email Address (Primary vs. Alias) is Used for Box Email Notifications
Admin is SSO required and is unable to receive email notifications on their primary email address used for SSO.
Email notification in Box currently are not sent out to aliases.
However, when testing with the other email aliases for their company, the emails went through correctly.
The issue is that changing the Box primary email address requires changing the SSO primary email attribute which would break the login flow for other applications and programs.
We would like to have email notifications be able to be sent to these aliases.
We do not want to do the workaround of…

Password Resets by Administrator
This weekend, our organization had an internet outage that stopped email from delivering for four days. I had a user whose password expired and due to the password reset process being wholly dependent on email, the user was unable to work in Box, which is where all their files are, so they couldn't work. I setup a call back and was told that the process needed email in order to manually reset the user's password.
There needs to be a way where administrators can reset a user's password in the admin console. There are times when email is not a…

Usage Logs and Admin Events don't report version reversion
ITEMMAKECURRENT_VERSION is a Standard User Event in the API but doesn't show up in Usage Logs or Admin Events.
When a previous version of a file is promoted as the latest version, we do not receive an enterprise notification for that.
If we quarantine a file (create tombstone as say version 2) and the user makes the v1 version as latest (v3), then the event received is of type user event and not an enterprise event, which makes us not be able to process such a change.

Notify users of product updates in-app
Use in-line notifications in the web app to update end users when a feature is “coming soon” vs. waiting until it’s already launched. It would be great also if you could toggle this on and off on the admin side.
This is something that more and more apps are doing, like a pop up window to let end users know about new features, especially for features not controlled by the admin.7 votes -
Update removed the ability to view notifications on a single page. You have to scroll through them from the top tool bar. Please add back!
The newest update removed the ability to view notifications (@mentions, etc) on a single page. You have to scroll through them from the top tool bar. This makes these difficult to managed properly. This needs to be added back ASAP!

Ability to manage pop-up messages
Integrate a switch to turn off pop-up notifications (those which pop up for every single step or process).
Maybe have different levels of notifications, like for debugging ("none" to "confirm every step")
There are way too many pop-ups in Box worsening the "user-experience".
See what can happen, if you have daily several hundreds or thousands of clicks too much to do for unnecessary things like clicking away pop-up windows which notify you about things you already know you have done (like another user put it so aptly into Box community):

Send an alert email to co-owners for folders below the second tier as well.
https://support.box.com/hc/en-us/articles/4404822772755
According to the URL above,
"Box sends email notifications to the owner and any co-owners of the corresponding folder. Box only notifies co-owners who are directly collaborating on items with a pending expiration. Box does not notify co-owners who are collaborating via inherited permissions."We would like Box to send alert emails to co-owners for folders (files) in the second tier and below.

Ability to receive notifications when classifications are altered/added/removed.
We would like to see notifications sent to admins when Classifications are added/edited/removed.

@mention notifications are sometimes unreceivable
Collaborated users can't receive notifications in some cases when they are mentioned in comments.
Although the article linked to the URL below says this problem is already know, it doesn't tell in what cases this would happen.
We would appriciate if you could tell us when this problem happens.
And, we hope this problem will be solved as soon as possible.<Referance>

Allow Admins to STOP Email Uploads Success/Failure Notifications
We have a requirement for some groups to email reports into Box folders. When using the Email Upload functionality, Box will send the uploading user an email to confirm whether their upload completed successfully or failed. Employees receive excessive emails since we cannot stop Box from sending these confirmations.
Just make it an option in the admin console to shut off these confirmation emails.2 votes -
Airtable
Security, sustainability, traceability and file management headaches would be significantly reduced if a file existed in one place, under a single corporate entity, with a single set of permissions and shared across integrations.
It would be awesome if a file in Box could be published into an Airtable attachment field in an airtable record without copying it into the Airtable tenant and consuming storage.
If a Box link were dragged into an Airtable attachment field and dropped, could Airtable interrogate the file permissions in Box to see if it is allowed? If so, present the thumbnail provided by Box…

Multiple Pages for Filtered Notifications
In the Web App under Notifications the filtered views (anything other than All Messages) is limited to 50 items, and you do not have the option to go to the next page.
For example our HR department set Tasks for each employee to review their Job Description. They were hoping to be able to do away with using a spreadsheet to track emails by seeing who was left under their Sent Tasks. But they are still using the spreadsheet and manual reminders since they weren't able to access more than 50 assigned tasks to send reminder emails.

Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately, due to competing priorities, this is not currently on our roadmap.

@mention notifications should know when you @mention yourself
Change messaging of @mention emails when @mentioning yourself. Currently it says “someone” @mentioned you, while it would make more sense to provide a response such as “you mentioned yourself in a comment.”

Allow groups to be specified as 'notified to' in Box Shield Threat Detection Rules
Only user accounts can be specified for the 'Notification Destination' of the Threat Detection rules in Box Shield.
Since maintenance is required when the person in charge changes, it should be possible to specify a group.■In Japanese:
Box shieldに存在する検出ルールの「通知の送信先」は、ユーザーアカウントのみが指定できます。

Make the "Mobile Web Access Control" setting in the management console applicable to the current domain (box.com) as well
As a result of Box consolidating its mobile sites from “a.box.com” and “m.box.com” into “box.com,” the “Mobile Web and Accessibility” settings in the Admin Console are not being applied to the current domain. Consequently, even if administrators enable these controls, they do not affect mobile access under box.com.
At our company, we use Intune policies to prevent Box files from being saved locally on corporate iPhones. Safari is not subject to Intune policies. Because the “Mobile Web Access Control” settings currently cannot enforce restrictions, users can access Box via Safari on corporate iPhones and save Box files locally, creating a…3 votes -
Pop Up/Alert for duplicate folder name
Customer is interested in a pop up or alert when users enter a duplicate name for a folder. This could be specific alert to just admins but some sort of notification to prevent duplicative folder names.

Need All User Events stream API like admin_logs_streaming
Currently Box has an API for collecting individual user events, but there is no API for collecting administrative user events for an entire tenant at once.
This makes it difficult to develop an application that collects all tenant user events in one place and then links them to other services, such as internal system notifications or Box-slack DM.It would be a great improvement if there was an API to collect user events equivalent to adminlogsstreaming.
As for user notifications, it seems that email and Zapier have been used to achieve this, but each of these…

Ability to Edit folder contents but Folder cannot be deleted
Hello,
I am submitting a feature request for the ability to have Folder contents edited and changed (Add remove files), but users who have Editor permissions cannot delete the folder itself. We had an issue where a folder was deleted that has data sent to it via a Python script. The user meant to delete some contents from the folder, but accidentally deleted the folder itself. The folder name was "Doc Upload Test".
I was able to get the folder restored through the Box Support team. If there was a feature for each folder where a checkbox was available that…
