1. Redundant Shield alerts

   Box Shield should be able to recognize when the same file or file set appears in multiple locations and treat it as a single item, rather than generating duplicate alerts across each instance. This would allow users to acknowledge (or dismiss) an alert globally—once for all occurrences—rather than having to clear it separately for every flagged file.

3. Ability to Reassign Group Admin Permissions En Masse

   Via the GUI, it would be great to be able to reassign group admin permissions to a user for multiple groups in bulk. Use case is one user is admin for many internal groups, they leave the org, and their admin role requires replacement.

5. Request to Enable Start Time Configuration for Shared Link Validity

   I would like the ability to configure the start date and time for a shared link’s validity period.
   For example, a shared link would become active and accessible 60 minutes after it is created.

6. Feature Request: Increase Prompt Length Limit for AI Ask Prompt API

   Hi Box Team,

   We are using the AI Ask Prompt API (post-ai-askprompt), and the current 10,000-character prompt length limit is proving to be too restrictive for practical AI use cases.

   Many scenarios—such as working with long documents, adding sufficient context, or giving detailed instructions—require longer prompts. With the current limit, important context must be truncated, which often reduces response quality.

   Request: Increase the maximum prompt length

   Expanding this limit would significantly improve the usability and value of Box AI for developers and enterprise workflows.

7. Export objects from Box Canvas

   It has become very convenient to be able to export the entire Box Canvas as a PNG file.

   However, it would be even more useful if individual objects on the Canvas could be copied and pasted into PowerPoint as separate objects.

8. We would like the "Share" UI for web collaboration to be improved.

   Currently, the options for inviting users and generating a shared link are on the same screen, which can be confusing for users.

9. The locking feature in Box for Microsoft Office

   Collaborative editing is convenient, but there is a need to prevent others from making edits while someone is making important changes. In Box for Microsoft Office, I would like a feature that allows me to explicitly lock a document while I am editing it, in order to prevent editing conflicts or unintended overwrites by other users during collaborative editing.

10. Enable Deep Research Mode for Box AI Hubs

    <Current Observation>
    Box AI Hubs provides fast responses, which is great. However, for complex queries, users sometimes need more comprehensive and well-rounded answers.

    <Suggestion>
    It would be helpful to have an optional "Deep Research" mode, similar to ChatGPT's approach, where the system takes more time (even up to 30 minutes) to review all relevant files in the Hub and generate a deeper, more thorough response.
    This feature would make Box AI Hubs significantly more useful for detailed research and decision-making.

11. Metadata Taxonomy Searches MCP Server

    We use taxonomy fields in some of our metadata templates. Using Claude.ai to access our data via the Box MCP Server we are unable to search taxonomy metadata fields. Enabling this would be very helpful for our use case. Thank you.

13. About the Box AI Agent in Copilot

    When using the Box Admin Console, it is possible to identify which files the Box AI Agent accessed and when.
    However, there is no way to determine how many prompts each user has submitted to the Box AI Agent via Copilot, nor the number of times they have done so.
    Similarly, there is no method to understand, at a system-wide level, how many prompts are being submitted to the Box AI Agent overall.
    Unlike general generative AI services, we understand that there is no cost incurred based on usage frequency (i.e., the number of prompts submitted).
    Nevertheless, from an administrator’s perspective, it is important to understand usage frequency. By providing a way to track this information, organizations would gain value by being able to report how extensively generative AI is being utilized.
    We strongly request that a mechanism be provided to monitor and understand the usage frequency of the Box AI Agent.

14. The upper limit on the number of file requests that can be "bulk deleted"

    Due to Box's specifications, you can delete file requests all at once using the following steps.
    However, if you try to delete nearly 1,000 file requests, you'll receive the error message "Failed to delete link." The following steps prevent you from deleting them.

17. Display of account name when approval task or Box Relay creator user is deleted

    After an account is deleted, the user who created an approval task is displayed as "Previous Collaborator," making it impossible to verify the approval status at that time. Please change this so that the username from that time continues to be displayed even after the account is deleted.

19. We’d like to be able to preconfigure/customize the watermark applied by access policies.

    We’d like content that has a watermark applied using Box Shield classification labels to display a preconfigured custom watermark.For example, content labeled “Confidential” should display a watermark with the text “Confidential.”
    Ideally, the watermark could be customized when configuring the security controls, without requiring per-item settings.

20. Box for Outlook - Allow Configurable Setting that will autocovert an attachment to a link when over a certain size

    Sharefile's Outlook add-in allowed for you to define a size threshold for attachments. When that threshold was reached, it would automatically upload the attachments to Sharefile and then insert the link to the file(s)

    This feature made it simple to share larger documents, or multiple documents that would cause bounce-back emails for trying to send an email with too large of size. This was also much quicker than taking the time to create a new folder, upload the documents, then attach the links for those documents to the email.

    I understand that this would require some other types of decisions to be made, such as where does the file get uploaded to? Perhaps there is an autogenerated folder for each user account that it sticks the files in, similar to Box Reports, Box Shuttle Reports, My Box Notes, My Canvases, etc.
