User can download a image via "View only" link on mobile browser
User can download a image by pressing the image and selecting "Add Photo"/"Download Image" when opening the image via "View only" shared link on mobile devices's (iPhone or Android) web browser .
Even if user has "View only" permission, there is no way to prevent downloading a image file on mobile browser. We need a way to prevent downloading a image on mobile browser.1 vote -
Add support for Integrated Windows Authentication for Box Drive login flow
Integrated Windows Authentication (IWA) allows for the following login flow for the webapp:
- User logs into Windows
- User goes to Box and selects to use SSO to login
- When the user is redirected to their Identity Provider, the browser sends the user's OS credentials and the user does not need to enter credentials again
- User is logged into Box
This would provide a more seamless experience for users. In our computer labs, users would sign into Windows, click one button in the Box Drive login window, and have access to their Box content natively in the OS.

Metadata: enable cascading Metadata for custom Metadata
I enabled Cascading Metadata, but can only use existing Metadata Templates. When I try to use custom Metadata that is not an existing template, I get error: "Cascade policy cannot be applied to custom metadata at this time."

Collect user info when a box link is shared with non-box users
The goal is to require non-box users enter their first, last name and email before accessing a Box shared link set to permission "People with the link".
I.E, user will click on the link, re-direct to a sign up page requiring first, last name and email. After submitted they are routed to the training videos hosted on Box.

Add "disable for select users" as a Box Drive Mark for Offline option
A global Box customer is looking to disable MFO (Marking for Offline) for a selected users.
This would be a "symmetrical" counter-option to the existing "enable for select users", and also similar to how some other features can be managed within Box Admin Console, making the MFO options more consistent with broader Box experience for admins.2 votes -
We need a way to administratively remove ALL instances of the per-user installs
We need a way to administratively remove ALL instances of the per-user installs, without resorting to the a VBS login script. In many cases, there are profiles on machines for users that no longer exist, they won’t ever log in to run the per-user removal script.

Restrict assigning higher level permissions to external users
we would like a control to restrict external users from having anything above a set permission level.
It would also be great if we could review on one screen, external users to see what permission levels is assigned

Box Relay: Enable API's so that I can re-assign workflows and/or task ownership to another person
Box Relay: Enable API's so that I can re-assign workflows and/or task ownership to another person at scale.
E.g. if someone is on holiday, sick, or leaves the company, we want to use API's to group together all of their existing workflows and/or tasks, and transfer those to a new person.

Allow administrative "As-User' calls to bypass steps that require user intervention, such as accepting Custom Terms of Service.
As-User calls made by an admin, on behalf of the user, should not require any end user interaction to work. This supports API driven administration prior to making Box available to end users, which is common when deploying at scale or performing data migrations.
In particular, non-acceptance of Custom Terms of Service and Uncompleted Email Verification currently cause such calls to fail until the end user takes action to complete them.
makes the migration process overly complex.7 votesGreat feedback. Currently, there is no Email Verification required today for app users, and we do have a Terms of Service API: developer.box.com/reference#terms-of-service-object

Sorting - Don't Sort Folders First (Or Provide User-Level Setting to Choose)
The webapp (and mobile) have traditionally always sorted Folders, then Files (followed by Bookmarks) regardless of which sort order (name, updated, etc.) is chosen.

As an admin, I should be able to designate a folders zone (not restricted by the user).
In a closed environment where you have a single user designated as the owner, you are currently unable to utilize multiline tenancy. In an instance where UK HR Files need to have a zone of UK and US HR Files need to be in the US zone, I would need to create a separate service account to own each set of files.
Ideally you would be able to designate anything containing PII/PIA/IP to a root folder with a designated zone based on data storage compliance. Allowing multiple users to access without worrying about the need for unnecessary service accounts…

Add a function to extract the collaboration list for each specific folder of box by "user (editor etc.)"
I want you to add a function to extract the collaboration list for each specific folder of BOX by "user (editor etc.)"
Background:
Currently, it is necessary to output the report (collaboration) by the administrator,
but I want to output it by a user without administrator authority, not by the administrator each time.
Not one department or company that manages all folders,
Each small folder has a co-owner, and the co-owner grants access rights and strips them.
Therefore, it is necessary to deal with the intrusion of many people such as personnel changes of those who have access rights…5 votes -

There isn't a way yet to see how and when the setting was changed. We're trying to know is who and when and how did the Collaboration and Privacy settings change on Admin Console User Activity reports.

Improve speed of reflection of latest data for reports less than 1 hour
Reports other than the User detail report will take 24 hours to reflect the latest data. Only user detail report is live with 1 hour data freshness limit. It is very inconvenient that the latest data is not reflected immediately.

Eliminate "We’ve Sent You a Confirmation Email" page for provisioned accounts
We feel that showing "We’ve Sent You a Confirmation Email" page is not appropriate page for provisioned account's
that are manually created in Admin Console or that are auto provisioned from AD.
If Admin create new accounts with Silent mode, the confirmation email is not sent.
Therefor user needs to create password on "Reset password" page manually. This is OK.
After creating the password and try to login with the created password, "We’ve Sent You a Confirmation Email" page
is displayed. But confirmation email is not sent. The user needs to click "Resend Confirmation Email" to receive "Please complete your…26 votes -
When users delete folders, we want not only the folders but also the files within to be shown in Trash.
When users delete folders, we want not only the folders but also the files within to be shown in Trash. Here is the behavior we noticed: a. We enable "Restrict content creation" in Enterprise Settings. b. User who is not the owner of the folder deletes files. -> The files will be shown in Trash. c. The same user deletes the folder which the files above existed in. d. The files which were deleted in process "a" are no longer shown in trash, making users unable to restore them, unless they restore the folder itself. e. However, the…

Updates for Task Management
Task management should:
-Show a total number of tasks outstanding
-Have the ability to categorize tasks
-Have the ability to prioritize tasks
-Include summary of time elapsed since task assignment
-Always allow the user to check the task off, reject the task, or delegate the task to another
-Task list should ALWAYS be searchable
-Task lists should have the ability to have filters applied (age of task, assigned by, prioritization level, category, etc.)
-Task auto assignment based on adjustable rules would be a plus63 votesAdditional categorization and prioritization is not currently planned for our Tasks feature at this time. Please continue to leave feedback on use cases for consideration in future planning cycles.

Ability to scope Malicious Content Rules by User/Group/Shield Lists
Currently malicious content rules apply to all users. To test moving from an audit/detection-only stance to enforcement, it would be useful to be able to create multiple rules that are scoped to specific users/groups/Shield Lists.
This will allow us to keep most users in an audit/detection-only rule, while we test enforcement with a pilot group in another rule.3 votes
