Implementation of stable access to external shared links (such as app.box.com) in BVE-enabled environments (ent.box.com)
Currently, when accessing external shared links (app.box.com) from a BVE-enabled environment (ent.box.com), the browser login session is not always properly maintained, and Box may temporarily fail to recognize the user’s account.
When shared links are used regularly in business operations, having to log in again or switch browsers each time places a significant burden on users and negatively affects productivity. Please ensure that users can access external shared links (app.box.com) reliably from BVE-enabled environments without session interruptions or the need to log in again.
Additionally, please prevent errors caused by differences between app.box.com and ent.box.com.(日本語)

Sync alias/shortcut files on Box Drive
Box Drive currently does not support syncing alias files (I think these are called shortcuts on Windows machine), which is a basic file organization tool. Alternatively, expose the favorites from the box web app on box drive. At present, it's impossible to organize a list of your truly active files while working solely within Box Drive. Seems like making these file types available for syncing would be a simple solution to implement.

Please keep the feedback & use cases coming to help us prioritize this in the future!

Ability to recognize shared links with passwords
I would like to see the icon change to show whether the shared link has a password or not, so that I can easily tell from the file list whether the link has a password or not.
共有リンクにパスワードが設定されているかどうか簡単に分かるよう、パスワードなしとパスワードありでアイコンを変えてファイル一覧からでも分かるようにしてほしい。1 vote -

About the scope of expiration notice to co-owners.
Currently the expiration of the invited user to a folder is notified to the owner and co-owner of the folder,
however, any co-owner cannot receive the expiration of the invitee of its child folder while owner receives all the expiration notification. We would like to request to cascade the scope of co-owner's privilege to its child folders so that the co-owner of the parent folder can receive all the expiration notification of the descendant folders.

<Ability to set date and time variables for files/folders in Box Relay.>
When multiple folders/files with the same name are created (newly created/copied) on the same day using Box Relay's folder/file actions, the current specification makes it impossible to determine which item is the latest.
Please insert a date/time variable such as "yyyy/mm/dd hh:mm:ss" in the item name so that we can know when the folder/file was created.<BoxRelayのファイル/フォルダに日付と時刻の変数を設定する機能>
Box Relay
5 votes -
Folder and file reports are output in a tree format, making it easier to understand the folder hierarchy.
The new platform version of the Folders and Files report is sorted by creation date by default.
This does not fulfill the role of a folder tree report.
If folders are not specified, sorting by all folder/file IDs, etc. into a tree format is impractical and affects business operations(Japanese)
13 votes -
Don't have incidence on rights in a tree when rights are updated in sub-folders
When You put rights on a root folder, if You need to change the rights for an user in sub-folder, the impact is on the whole tree and this is not really cool... The best way is to keep the rights functionality but to forget the incidence when You change rights on sub-folders.
It's very important !2 votes -
Create a new workflow, after the folder creation.
We want to create a new workflow, after the folder creation.
We are planning to have two types of flows, "Project folder creation flow" & "Approval flow(under the newly created folder)".
The "Project folder creation" is fine, but for "Approval flow" we need to create it each time after new project folder has created.
So it would be great if we can create the "Approval flow" after the project folder has created.Project folder creation
Trigger: Folder creation
Outcome: Copy the prepared folders underneath the folder which triggered the relay.
the prepared folders include "Review" and "Approved" folders.Approval…

Allow Custom Terms of Service feature on specific folders/files
Currently, this feature is only allowed at the account level, but if an enterprise account serves multiple internal and external user groups that may require different ToS, the feature becomes useless. Please consider a simple feature to allow custom ToS for specific folders or files. Thanks!

share reports in a parent folder
When you create a weekly scheduled report (User Activity report for example) and share it with a user (as a Viewer), this user sees too many folder named "User Activity run on xxxxxx".
It is because it's the report subfolder that is shared with the user, and not the "Box reports" folder. Is it possible to store scheduled reports inside a parent folder (like "Box user reports") or a named one by the administrator creating the report ?

Share folders with all users in the organization with specific default permissions (ie Editor, Viewer, or Uploader)
A few clicks and we don't have to share it individually with 250 users.

Allow Auto-creation and Auto-deletion of Box folders in NetSuite per record
Introduce functionality within the Box–NetSuite integration to automatically create associated Box folders when a NetSuite record is created, eliminating the need for users to manually click the “Default” button.
Additionally, enable automatic deletion of the corresponding Box folder when the related NetSuite record is deleted, ensuring better data hygiene and consistency between systems.
As part of this enhancement, provide administrators or consultants with the ability to toggle this feature on or off by record type, allowing organizations to apply automation selectively based on their business needs.Benefits:
- Reduces manual user actions and wait time for folder creation
- Improves…2 votes -
File Shortcuts
I want to be able to have file shortcuts. They are just pointers to a file that can be placed in other folders throughout the file system. This makes it seem like there are copies of the file in multiple folders and all of the copies get updated whenever one gets updated because its actually one file with a bunch of references pointing to it.

Ability to Toggle AI Autofill on Folders via API
AI Autofill can only be enabled on folders through the Box UI. Having an API endpoint to enable AI Autofill at the folder level so it can be automated during folder provisioning would save a lot of time.
In our use case, a Salesforce Flow creates a Box folder structure, applies metadata templates, and configures cascade policies. Being able to toggle AI Autofill via API would allow the entire process to run end-to-end without manual steps and avoid maintaining custom AI Extract + metadata upload automation as a workaround.

Update the web app to support up to 1 TB of content, at least 10,000 folders
Update the web app to support up to 1 TB of content, at least 10,000 folders.
The Box Web App doesn't support large folder structures. I can successfully upload a folder with >100 GB of content (files are no larger than 4 GB each), and I can share the link. But the web interface only supports download of folders with up to 10 GB of content, even though Box supports files up to 32 GB! To download the folder, the user must use Box Drive or other client, which isn't an option for users without a Box account on…

Need API to download files from Trashed folders
As of now we can able to download files from Trash, but when we try to download files from the folder that is trashed by user under legalhold, we can't do it. This is a gap in edisocvery process. Can you please publish the API endpoint to download the files from trashed folders as well? We can't tamper the user data.
Same kind of request available in these 2 places well.

More granular visibility on Metadata Cascade Policies for folders
Currently, when getting info for folders via API, users are able to see whether a cascading metadata policy is set, but can't see if it is set to override existing values, only apply to new instances, or not overwrite anything. Some customers would like more detail included with whether or not a cascade policy exists and what it's set to
