1. Increase size of file allowed to be opened online

   We have several large Excel files (example: one that is 16.6 MB) that don't allow for editing/collaboration using Box online. In order to edit it, our team has to take turns: open it in MS Excel and each of us work on the doc one a time. Please allow for larger files to be opened on Excel online since collaboration is one of the hallmarks of using Box for file storage!

   We are creating a file request dashboard for Admins to manage their enterprise’s FR links.

3. Add tag support for OSX files in Box Drive

   File color labels (tags) in OSX do not work on Box Drive.

   Competing cloud storage platforms (like Dropbox) easily handle this.

   In a MacOS team production workflow, tags are essential for production processes. Labels allow effortless communication to other team members on the status of file production. This is an industry-standard way of working which is totally broken in Box Drive.

   Please review the many MANY past requests for this feature in these forums. It is a long-standing issue that deserves attention!

5. Search by Created Date and Modified Date

   When uploading a file by FTP, the Created Date and Modified Date on Details tab shows timestamp from the local PC.
   Box's search function only allows to search by Updated Date that is not the date from Modified Date from Details tab of a file, so please add the finction to search by Created Date and Modified Date for FTP uploaders.

   Possibly, 120 users could be affected by this function change because most of important files are in their local PCs, and it would be really helpful if they could search them by the dates that on their local PCs.

6. Ability to set default application for Box Edit opening .md file

   Sometimes Box Edit opening files in the program not set as default on MacOS

   If a user installs Xcode on Mac OS, the user cannot open .md files with default application which set on Mac OS. The user would like to open .md file with Atom.app but it opened with Xcode.
   User can do nothing to change the application. it is the OS that it's selecting XCode when it's installed.

7. 3D/CAD File preview zoom function

   Improve zoom/enlargement in 3D file preview function

   With the current 3D file preview function of Box, the display of the 3D model is small, and there is a limit to the distance that can be brought close to the 3D model even when zooming, so I would like to improve.

   <Use case>
   - BIM/CIM-based 3D CAD data can be easily displayed on a browser, which can be expected to improve communication with relevant parties and productivity.
   - The viewer of a CAD maker has high performance and high affinity with CAD data, but it has a large burden such as device specifications, software installation labor, and subscription maintenance costs.
   - Even if you do not require the functions of the viewer of the CAD maker, if you can refer to a certain 3D model with a general-purpose browser, the data expansion will be easy.

   Markdown preview:
   * Why is it paginated?
   * Text doesn't render very nicely
   * Doesn't support features such as links, bullets without a preceding blank line, emoji

12. Collaboration Report - Add Last Accessed Column

    Box Admin frequently runs reports on all external collaborators who they work with and wants to remove external collaborators from files that they haven't accessed in awhile. Wants to be able to run a report that filters to all external collaborators and allows you to see the files that they are collaborated on AND the last date that they accessed those files. This will help the admin determine if an external collaborator can be removed from a file. The collaborator report allows you to do most of this. However, the Collaborator report is missing a "last accessed" column. The request is to add "Last Accessed" as a column to the Collaborations Report.

13. Add column for Modified date, and allow sorting on it.

    It would be really handy to be able to add a column for and sort based on "Modified date" field. Currently the "Updated" column is not useful if you are doing content migrations from outside sources. While the files maintain the "modified date", they get an "Updated date" of the day it was migrated.

    We are considering migrating our existing LAN contents to Box. Our users frequently need to sort on last modified date. We are uploading all data to Box and retaining the original date stamps where possible. Sorting is key.

14. Unify behavior when creating shared links.

    Box Canvas files in folders with the 'Only folder owners and co-owners can send collaborator invites' setting enabled cannot create a shared link using the 'Share' button at the top right of the edit screen if you have Editor and Viewer Uploader permissions. ('Share' button is grayed out.)
    Editor and Viewer Uploader users need to create a shared link from the file listing screen.

    However, Office files and Box Notes in the same folder can create a shared link using the 'Share' button on the Preview and Edit screens.
    It is confusing for users if only Box Canvas files behave differently. Box Canvas files should be unified with the same behavior as Office files and Box Notes.

15. Pop-up feature to prevent conflicts when editing files

    When multiple people modify a file using BoxEdit, conflicts can create multiple files with the same content, each with a file name like (1), making it difficult to determine which file contains the correct and latest information.
    We understand that using the lock function can prevent this, but many users have difficulty using the lock function.
    I would like a pop-up that says “Someone is editing the file, would you like to edit it? If you continue to edit the file, it may cause inconsistencies in the file” pop-up, and I would like to be able to edit the file without answering ‘yes’ or ‘no’.

16. Show Date Uploaded, instead of Date Created for new files in Box Drive

    Right now, when a file is uploaded to Box, the dated modified date shows the date the file was uploaded however, on Box Drive the date modified is the date the file was created.

    We would like to see the date the file was uploaded on Box Drive, as it appears on the webapp.

18. Create exceptions for auto-expiration of sharing and external collaborators

    We have auto-expiration on file sharing but often need to share files with external collaborators for an indefinite amount of time. We can't keep re-sharing the file. Same for external collaborators - we have auto-expiration but we can't keep re-sharing folders with them.

19. Box available as Service on iOS Shortcuts app

    Currently in iOS Shortcuts app, iCloud Drive and Dropbox are available, Box should be there too. Will help in automating copying files to Box using Shortcuts on iOS.
