  1. Bulk Add Users with customizable columns/fields

    We would like to have the ability to add custom fields when bulk uploading new users.

    For Example (columns): Groups, Storage, Restrict external collaboration, Cost Center, Employee Number.

    This suggestion is not under consideration for the current or future roadmap. We are currently focusing on improving the user interface and performance before we add customizations to bulk add.

  2. Improve auto-populating when copying and pasting the multiple groups name to the collaboration invite popup

    This works for email addresses so groups should work too.

  3. Allow the "Folder" column to be expandable when adding/modifying managed users in BOX

    When adding users or modifying a managed user, the 'Folders' column when you are adding folders is not expandable. You also cannot really widen the Administration window for Users and Groups in the Admin console.

    1) Can we make the Users and Groups section in the admin console wider? Or just as wide as my browser window?

    2) Can you make the 'Folders' column when managing or editing a user expandable so I can see the folder full name?

  4. Bulk add users as admin

    Currently the only categories in bulk add are:
    Name Email Groups Storage Restrict external collaboration

    Would be helpful to be able to bulk designate admins at this time, especially for sandbox environments.

  5. Add Optional Security Notifications for Admins, Reports for Public Links, and Customize the Insights Dashboard

    We'd like to be able to receive notifications when a user creates a shared like that is "public" or available to anyone externally. With recent security concerns, we're not able to easily see how many public links are being created. The reports time out and we have to reach out to Box Support every time we want that data. In addition to better abilities to report and customize reports as many people have mentioned, it would be nice to customize the Insights dashboard to see the pertinent data to our organization.

  6. Flag mutliple folders for Offline User

    Currently, in order to mark a folder/file for offline, you have to do it individually. It would be nice to have the ability to drag select folders/file and have the context menu provide the option to mark grouped items as available, as you might with any other native Windows function.

  7. Retention policies should lift automatically even if disposition action is set to "none"

    Retention policies should be lifted automatically at the end of the retention period. Currently, if the disposition action is set to "none" the folder will not be released from the policy even though the folder will be able to be deleted. This is very confusing and requires manual work on the admin's part to determine if the retention period is up on a folder and if it is able to be deleted.

    Alternately, build retention as a trigger into Relay/Workflows as mentioned in a different idea so that the Relay can automatically take the folder out of retention…

  8. Viewing and Downloading EPUB files

    As outlined in Case # 2783413
    We were unable to share an link to an EPUB which had watermarking embedded in the file.
    Workarounds included zipping up the EPUB first.
    It would be wonderful to get full EPUB support where you can view the EPUB (ie see the cover image, and even the contents of the EPUB book and allow anyone with the link to download the file.

    As was discovered in the case mentioned above, it turns out some EPUBs can at least be downloaded if they didn't contain watermarking. Publishers put in watermarking so removing these is…

  9. Feature Enhancements: Grouped Boolean Operators, CSV Export, and Batch Download

    For the Content Manager please look at the following:

    1. Allow grouped Boolean operators, e.g. (“ben phillips” OR “benjamin phillips”) AND (“london” OR “ec2v”)
      Currently support only for (“ben phillips” AND “London”)

    2. Allow export of full search result list (title, file path, etc) to CSV
      Currently just displays search results on screen, paginated to 20 results

    3. Allow download of all search result content (files/folders) in one zip file
      Currently checkbox only allows selection of 20 results on screen for download

  11. Remove 'Get our app to view this on mobile' Text/Link in Emails for EMM-Enabled EIDs OR Allow Link Customization

    For customers that use Box for EMM (and have disabled the standard Box apps), the 'get our app to view this on mobile' link/text in the standard Box email notifications (like for @mentions, uploads, etc.) is confusing because users in that EID won't actually be able to log into the standard Box app that it links to.

    REQUEST:
    1. Either provide the option to remove this text from emails
    OR
    2. Allow customization of this text to change the link that it points to (so a customer can link to their software/app catalog where users download the Box…

  12. SSO - Partial replication

    Allow SAML assertion to translate Azure’s GroupID attribute to name and allow the option to only select a subset of IDP groups for Box synchronization.
    The purpose is to allow customers who have a large LDAP tree to have simpler maintenance.

  13. Export Users - Add 'Email Aliases' Column (Allow Admins to Export/Report on Email Aliases)

    If an admin wants to view users' email aliases (non-primary email addresses in Box), they must look at each user individually since there is no current export or reporting functionality that includes email aliases.

    'Export Users' refers to the button located in Admin Console -> Users & Groups -> Managed Users.

  14. Allow Custom Terms of Service feature on specific folders/files

    Currently, this feature is only allowed at the account level, but if an enterprise account serves multiple internal and external user groups that may require different ToS, the feature becomes useless. Please consider a simple feature to allow custom ToS for specific folders or files. Thanks!

  15. Large user lists don't load in Box Shuttle and there is no way to filter or narrow scope

    Build an option to filter on specific source user groups or OU's before trying to generate or load the user list.

    Current behavior: Admin account is authenticated and user list is not able to load/populate because there are too many users on the source side.

  16. Ability to Make Specific Folders Persistent in Box Drive

    In order for some of our CADD standards to work properly we have our users marking a specific folder for offline use. It would be nice if there was an admin setting to mark specific folders to be precached or persistent in Box Drive for specific users or groups.

  17. Box for Schools - address school related use cases

    Creating a Box for School kind of offering to address certain specific use cases for School could open up new market and get kids to get familiar with Box before they enter active life.
    Different use cases should be easy to support such class assignment, class user groups, GSuite integration to enable access to GSheet capabilities...

  18. Expose Box's "Notification Email" field to SAML provisioning and syncing

    The "Notification Email" functionality in Box is very helpful for @mentions, file sharing invites and other user notificaitons that need to go to an email address other than the email address used to sign into Box. This can be the necessary when a company has subsidiaries on a common directory infrastructure, but one or more subsidiaries is still maintain the old email identities for day to day work. There are likely other reasons to use this field.

  19. More customization of Box for Teams V2 Usage

    We were wondering if we could partially turn on Box for Teams V2. Specifically, we want to turn off the option to create the "Box Files" tab but leave on the options to share Box content directly in groups chats or channel posts. The fact that it's set up as an all-or-nothing feature for now is holding us back from using it at all.

  20. Allow non-admin users to call 'Get Enterprise Users API'.

    I want to develop a program that provides an auto-completion feature that displays the names of enterprise users.

    However, the current "Get Enterprise Users API" could only be called by co-admins.
    I also want to be able to call from other than co-admin.

    By the way, "Get Groups API" could be called from other than co-admins by providing the filter.
    I think there is a contradiction in this specification.
