File request - Block upload of domains not on enterprise allowlisted domains
For File Request where Enterprise requires user to login prior to submission, would like an additional security check for Enterprises that only allow for external collaboration from allowed domains as listed in the Enterprise console. If the domain is on the list then allow for file request upload, if domain is not on the allowlisted domains, block upload.

Set "SSO Required"/"SSO Enabled" for each user
The current "SSO Required" is for all managed users.
When creating "administrator user and general user" as a managed user, there are the following problems.
-It is necessary to create an administrator user ID on the IdP side.
-When accessing as an administrative user, it takes time and effort to log in from the IdP and access Box.
-A license fee will also be charged on the IdP side.If we can set "SSO required" and "SSO enabled" for each user, the problem will be solved.

Managing/Drawing Diagrams in Box
Box already integrate MS Office to be able to temporary dowload a office document for edit but also allows to update MS Office documents online in the browser.
I would like to see similar functionality for diagrams.
Draw.IO is a diagram tool that you can use offline and online app.diagrams.net
So it would be easy to provide working with diagrams in Box very easy.Function A: Online Editing of draw.io files with embedded drawio or passing it to app.diagrams.net
Function B: Allows to temporary download drawio files same as with ms office documents.

reference point within box note
Option to insert anchor/reference point in a Box Note
Box Notes can be lengthy and would be great to be able to insert an anchor within the Box Note so that when directing someone to that spot, they aren't searching the entire Note to find the spot.26 votes -
Box for Office - Access to Collections
Now that we can organise our files in Box using Collections, it would be good to be able to access this functionality in the Office Apps. This is 'mainly' relevant to the Outlook Box add-in that comes as part of Box for Office for when you want to save to Box or insert from Box.
Excel/Word/PowerPoint - I would argue that the best experience is opening from Edge/Chrome using Box Edit.26 votes -
Eliminate "We’ve Sent You a Confirmation Email" page for provisioned accounts
We feel that showing "We’ve Sent You a Confirmation Email" page is not appropriate page for provisioned account's
that are manually created in Admin Console or that are auto provisioned from AD.
If Admin create new accounts with Silent mode, the confirmation email is not sent.
Therefor user needs to create password on "Reset password" page manually. This is OK.
After creating the password and try to login with the created password, "We’ve Sent You a Confirmation Email" page
is displayed. But confirmation email is not sent. The user needs to click "Resend Confirmation Email" to receive "Please complete your…26 votes -
Exclude users from Single Sign On
The Single Sign On feature is currently an "all or none" setting and it would be nice to have the option to exclude certain users from the SSO requirement when enabled.

Re-Size left Navigation Bar
Currently if favourites have long file names, the display is cut off. Having the ability to resize the left navigation pane/panel would increase usability.

Cascading Metadata - applying policy should stay in affect so future value updates cascade without force.
Metadata cascade policy should stay in effect and push future value changes down (as per policy) - until the policy is removed.
Futher only the value(s) updated should be pushed down, not the full set of metadata values..

Restrict assigning higher level permissions to external users
we would like a control to restrict external users from having anything above a set permission level.
It would also be great if we could review on one screen, external users to see what permission levels is assigned

API endpoint to return ALL objects (recursively) but simplified to create browser tree
I am using the jstree library in my application to create a full browser tree of a user's BOX resources. Please create an endpoint to return ALL objects (recursive) available to an authenticated user inside one root folder . These objects would only require the object ID, TYPE, NAME, VERSION and PARENT(parent-id as string instead of parent object). The jstree lib can take this data and create an entire file browsing tree and then users would call up more information when they click on an object. As an admin I like to be able to search on a folder ID in the admin console
I just had a user with only a path to a folder with an id (https://company.app.box.com/folder/123456789) for example.
I didn't have access to it, so I was wondering which folder it actually was.
I couldn't find a way to search for the ID in the admin console, so I could find the real name and owner.
My suggestion is to have a search field in the admin console where you can put the Folder ID and it returns the full path and owner.

Allow reorganization of received collaborated folders
I would like to request that all users are allowed, as non-folder owners, to place shared folders inside non-shared folders. This allows for better organization for users and therefore an overall better user experience. All other cloud services that I am a part of allow this.
Example:
I own the folders "fruit" and "orange." Someone else owns the folder "apple" and shares it with me. Currently, I cannot place the folder "apple" inside of my "fruit" folder. Allow folder owner to report on collaborators in their folders
We would like the ability to have a folder owner search for a specific collaborator to see all the folders (that is owned by the folder owner) that they are collaborating on

Locking Folder Names
We have systems integrating with folders on Box.com. These functions either provide workflow timestamps, or move files from folder to folder. In order for these integrations to work seamlessly, folders cannot be accidentally or purposely renamed.

Add pdf support in the save to box option
The "save as" option in Office support pdf extension but this is not included in the "save to box" option. If a user wantss to upload a pdf (originated from office) there are a couple more steps they have to do.

Regarding the time it takes for scheduled reports to be generated
Content: The Box support site mentions that report generation can take up to 12 hours.
Most reports are usually generated within a few minutes to a few tens of minutes, but scheduled reports often take about 12 hours to be output.
Although it is within the expected range, waiting half a day for the output affects business operations, so we request a functional improvement to shorten the time it takes for reports to be generated.(日本語)

Ability for users to track activity
In the Closed configuration ,Only admins and co-admins can track activity on the files listed at the URLs below.
Users cannot be tracked.
If users can export reports, they can perform on themselves statistical analysis.
As a result, it becomes possible to actively use Box.

Name in the notification email of Box Relay should be the initiator of a workflow rather than workflow owner/creator.
Currently the name displyaed in the notification email of Box Relay is the name who owned/created the workflow.
It's idal to be displayed Name of initiator of a workflow in the notification email especially in caseunspecified majority of people might launch the workflow by manual.
Enabling the above feature makes it much easier to confirm user who start the flow.25 votes
