Create a Task to provide a notification
Create a Task to provide a notification to a user. For example if a document has been moved, this Task would create a notification to Bob that the file has been moved. He shouldn't have to do anything with this or approve or complete it, just be notified.
25 votesThank you for the feedback. We do not currently have plans to add a “no action required” task type to our Tasks feature. That said, please continue to add use cases here, as we may consider in a future planning cycle.

Allow Marking Folders as "Move Locked" To Prevent Users From Moving Certain Folders Regardless Of Permissions
Our admins are constantly dealing with users who accidentally drag and drop folders into other folders. This can have a big impact across our org, especially when a high level folder that's shared across the company is moved. Here's a common use case:
We have a top level Projects folder. That folder contains a subfolder for every organization we do business with. Those Organization folders then contain subfolders for individual projects. We'd like to be able to mark the Organization level folders as Move Locked so that our users don't accidentally move folders from one Organization into another.…
49 votesThank you for the suggestion. Box currently offers the ability to lock folders using the folder lock API - https://developer.box.com/reference/post-folder-locks/
We do not have a feature on our roadmap to expose this functionality from Box Drive. We will place this in our backlog as we continue evaluating ideas to improve Box Drive.
Please keep the feedback & use cases coming to help us prioritize this in the future!

Retrieve logs of users who uploaded files via the file request link
The file request link is extremely useful in our daily operations. It is a great feature that allows users without a Box account to upload files to Box. However, under the current specifications, if logging in to Box is not required in the settings, no information about the person who uploaded the file via the file request link is recorded in the logs. This poses a significant problem from an audit and compliance perspective.
For example, if a user enters their email address in the email field at the time of upload, it would be very helpful if that…

Unified/Global 'All Trash' View
In larger companies, Content Manager's organization of trash (by Owner) and searching through Usage Logs are both overly cumbersome when looking for a file that a user has 'lost' (aka that's been deleted).
To ease this pain, please build a unified/consolidated/global 'All Trash' view added somewhere in the Admin Console -- likely in Content Manager.
From that view, an admin would be able to see:
1. File/folder name
2. Date deleted
3. Owner
4. Deleted by (user)
5. Option to permanently delete or restore18 votesThis is not planned at this time.

File Upload Notification - Ability to set alerts to a specific managed user per folder
File Upload can be a game changer for our company - with 1 major exception. Notifications in box seem to be all or nothing. Its overwhelming. Most of our team have them all turned off.
We would like the ability to set a notification for file uploads - per folder - per user/s. Example: Folder named: Dr. Joe with 10 folders within it. One of the sub-folders is named "Uploads from Dr. Joe" A file request link is created and shared with the client for this sub-folder. Then, regardless of who owns the file, you can add certain managed …

Request for improvement of mail upload function
I found a problem with the current mail upload function, so I would like Box to improve it.
[Request (1): Adding Management Console and Folder Settings]
Users with Editor permission can change the settings of the folder's mail upload function.
However, I would like to add the ability to restrict this permission to owners and co-owners to the administrative console and the settings for each folder.[Request (2) Timing for saving the settings of the mail upload function]
If you click "Allow uploads to this folder via email" about the mail upload function of the folder, the URL for…21 votes -

Cleanup and Enhance the file/folder webhook events to cover all the happy paths (new file, new file version, restore previous version)
As a Box Application Developer I want to be able to receive a unique, webhook events for the following scenarios:
- User uploads new file (brand new binary object placed into a Box Folder) - Folder based event (exists: FILE.UPLOADED)
- User uploads a new file version - File AND Folder based event (e.g. FILE_NEW.VERSION)
- User restores a previous file version - File AND Folder based event (e.g. FILE_RESTORE.VERSION)
As the owner of an enterprise application that has deep integration in the BOX platform, it is surprising that I have no way to use the Webhooks to monitor files for new versions…

Large user lists don't load in Box Shuttle and there is no way to filter or narrow scope
Build an option to filter on specific source user groups or OU's before trying to generate or load the user list.
Current behavior: Admin account is authenticated and user list is not able to load/populate because there are too many users on the source side.

The ability for user to check for new updates within Box Drive.
Can you please add a check for updates option in the box icon in the taskbar? I run into versions that are old on users pcs that either user ignored updates or never get a prompt and I know there is a new version available .

I would like to manage which accounts are set up within my enterprise when a user within my domain and without a Box account is invited
I've just become aware that if a Box user under our enterprise account tries to share a folder with a user who is not already a Box user, then that other user can create their own Box account under our enterprise account (if they have a freightliner.co.uk email address) with no involvement of the assigned Box admins.
I've checked our Enterprise settings and cannot see a way of turning this off. Ideally I (as a Box admin) would like to be able to manage which accounts are set up within our enterprise.

Customizing Sender in Ready Sign Link
When Box Sign is initiated via Ready Sign Link, the Template Creator currently becomes the Sender of the sign request.
However, depending on the document or process, we may want the user who initiates the Ready Sign Link to be the Sender. To address this, it would be helpful if the Sender could be customizable when generating the Ready Sign Link (e.g., choose either the Template Creator or the Ready Sign Link Initiator as the Sender).
As a workaround, we are currently using a Service Account user to create the template, so the Sender appears as something like "ACME Sign…

Export Groups - Add an 'Export Groups' Button to Groups Summary Page & Individual Group Page
There is currently no way for admins to export a report (xlsx) of their Groups - whether at the summary Groups level or at the individual Group level
This is problematic for companies that have pages and pages of Groups in the Admin Console, or want to manage just one group (as the current Export Users report from the Users page - the only place any Group info IS currently exported - exports ALL users in an EID, which is overload).
REQUEST 1: Groups Summary Export - Desired Columns:
1 Row per Group / Mirror the Columns…65 votesInteresting idea, but unlikely to be prioritized this year.

Manage default Box Drive install folder in Admin Console
To configure the Box Drive folder location, registry keys need to be pushed to all workstations. The customer would like it if there was a setting in the Box Admin Console where you could set the new folder paths for Windows and Mac, and then when a user logs into Box Drive, it would automatically update the registry. This would save admins from having to worry about new users or anyone they might miss with a manual push.

provide option to not automatically accept collaboration invitations when being invited from a user group
I do not have option to not accept the collaboration invitation when content is shared with a user group that I belong to. Is there a way to have the option to not accept the invitation when invited by a user group that I am part of it.
