1. login page Customization

   The login page is very confusing for our external collaborators. Despite the creation of "How to log on to Box" with pictures, external collaborators still click on the wrong link as the "Continue" button (for our managed users) is very large compare to the small font link for the external collaborators. The natural instinct is to click on "Continue" which gives the external collaborator an error since they are not part of the "managed users" and will not be able to SSO to our Box. Our staff is having to help our external customer on regular basis.
   Can the login page be modified to have 2 customizable buttons: a "[Company] employee" and "Not a [Company] employee" where [company] is a variable for each Box Enterprise customer to type in the name of their company.

   We are going to prioritize making the login page more intuitive rather than providing customization capability.

2. Ability for users to track activity

   In the Closed configuration ,Only admins and co-admins can track activity on the files listed at the URLs below.
   Users cannot be tracked.
   If users can export reports, they can perform on themselves　statistical analysis.
   As a result, it becomes possible to actively use Box.
   So I want users to be included in the targets that can be exported.

3. Report / Customizable dashboard for a workflow

   I would like to get an overall view of my workflow and which files are at which stages, including:
   - How many files are in Step 1, Step 2, Step 3, etc.
   - How many files have completed
   - How many files were denied (or stopped in process)

4. Changes to workflow builder functionality

   Create changes to workflow builder functionality:
   1. Allow folder Editors to be able to build workflows (we have very few co-admins)
   2. Allow the workflow builder to specify who is assigning the task (or make it generic.) Just because Bob builds the workflow doesn't mean his name should be on the assigning task.

5. Playback Speed on Mobile for Videos

   I would like to play video contents with double speed in the mobile app's preview mode.
   Currently you can change the speed of the video on web but it is not possible on mobile.
   It would be great if you can add the playback speed (0.5, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0) on mobile too.

   Enhancements to the Bulk Add/Edit feature are not currently on the roadmap, but will keep track of this request and consider prioritizing if many customers are requesting it. User status can be edited via API or SAML

7. Increase Keynote collaboration size limit to match Apples.

   Apples iCloud offers users a 2GB Keynote collaboration limit.
   Please can Box match this limit we are struggling with the 1GB limit with users reverting back to iCloud.

8. FIX the SEARCH to search exact terms and support advanced search parameters

   There are several major issues here, search should be powerful in order to make the tool as useful as possible. It is to the point now that we are storing so much information on Box that not having a search tool that actually works is causing us serious headache and loss of productivity.

   1. Search returns results for all forms of a word, how is it helpful to be absolutely unable to narrow a search. For example, if I search for "Government" (yes, even when using quotes) I get results including government, governance, govern, etc. Thanks Box, you have now included nearly every file in our file structure and there is no way for me to filter it down to what I actually want which is files with the word "government".

   2. There is no way to search for files containing multiple specific words. For instance if I want to search for a file with multiple words for example "license" AND "July" I end up getting a list of files which contain one or more of the words with all of the variations (licensees instead of license) but none of the files contain both words.

   Search should be a basic function of a platform like Box, it should actually work.

9. Canvas feature improvements

   After trying Canvas it looks like in order to get more use out of this compared to other open white board on the market it really does need allow more flexibility and improvements such as:

   1. Ability to allow GIF's for presentations.
   2. Allow links/ bookmark to files within box within a text box.
   3. Allow preview box of a video or crop a video within box to show a snippet of the video for presentation.
   4. Allow a preview link/ bookmark to Audio file to play.
   5. Currently drawn notes or shapes only allow corners to expand, it would help to add in side anchor points to adjust size on the edges as well.
   6. Allow links from anything made within canvas to link/ bookmark to any box file type.
   7. Have notifications notify all users added to the Canvas or invited to let them know if a user is updating the Canvas.
   8. Improve the bottom left overview map to be able to click on the zone to jump to that location.
   9. Ability to save your own templates and access them in the templates button and reuse them for future use.
   10. Allow a user name/ time/ date stamp to add to each object added by a user so other users know who added the object and when.
   11. Allow comment box or note box to be added to each object within canvas OR provide a link to that object within the comments pane on the right hand side for users to be able to link what they have done.
   12. Add in animations for more flare and general interesting improvements to the look of the canvas. Example : animated note outlines/ animated flow arrows linking objects
   13. Ability to add and create basic tables with links/ bookmarks within them from the text.
   14. Ability to add in zoom in animation for presentations to move seamlessly to each zone specified or specific object.
   15. Ability to produce presentations with an active popup/ media pane that has a back/ forward/ play function.
   16. Ability to select multiple objects and group them together
   17. Ability to link text box or whole group to a box task
   18. Ability to import links to other features Example: Box note/ word/ google docs... etc etc
   19. Add a 'Help' popup window that shows a list of shortcuts that the user can use. Right now after testing it a little i know i can use on a mac: Copy, paste, duplicate. I am unsure what else i can do.

   I really appreciate the idea of having Canvas for box.com this is a great addition so i really hope features like these get added in as you see these features in allot of whiteboards online. Thank you for Canvas so far its a nice addition i look forward to seeing what comes next.

10. Date and Time of uploading file on BOX

    Hi! I was faced with the problem of file date uploading on display on BOX.

    I know that usually, BOX shows "Today" or "Yesterday" if the file was uploaded to BOX today or yesterday. It's clear, but, I need to see the exact date displayed with numbers. For example, I want to see that the file was uploaded to BOX "18 of May, 2022" instead of "Today".

    Moreover, I even can't see the time when the file was uploaded to BOX. I work with the client in different time zones (the difference is 10 hrs) and sometimes it is really important to know the time uploading of the file, but unfortunately currently it is really confusing on BOX.

    So I have two questions:
    1. Is there any way to customize the date format (how always see the date instead of "today"/"yesterday"?
    2. How to see the exact time of uploading? (it is even preferable to see the timezone name to be sure when it was uploaded or at least have tools to be sure with this)

11. Allow Excel to open report (csv) without worrying about encoding

    The encoding for such csv file is in UTF-8 (no Byte Order Mark) and Excel failed to interpret such file, resulting in non-Unicode character turning garble.

    Since we open this report in a Spreadsheet software like Microsoft Excel, it would be beneficial to have Byte Order Mark added to the csv report in the first place.

    The workaround now is either
    1) Open the csv file in a modern text editor and re-save it using UTF-8 (with Byte Order Mark)

    2) Open a blank spreadsheet on Excel. From "Data" tab click on import from text data source. The manually imported csv files would be correctly imported.

    Both workaround would required few extra steps before getting the report display correctly.

12. Reflect Power Point page number settings in Box preview

    When page numbers are inserted in Power Point starting from the slide following the cover page and the slide start number is set to 0, there is a difference in the page numbers when viewed from the Power Point desktop application and when previewed in Box.
    In the Power Point app, the slide on the page following the cover page has a page number of 1, but in the Box preview screen it is 2.

    There is no workaround for users invited with previewer or shared via a view-only shared link, as they cannot edit or download.
    Please reflect the page numbers set in the Power Point application on the preview screen as well, as there will be discrepancies in recognition depending on the display method.

    A new shortcut for Box AI for Box Notes has been released to display the AI prompt field when you enter a space at the beginning of a line in Box Notes.

14. Either/Or Approvers

    Currently Relay does not support "either/or" approvers.

    We have use cases where we have multiple approvers in a process but only need a certain amount of approvers to continue the workflow. i.e. There are 3 approvers in a process but we only need 2 out of the 3 to approve.

15. Shield classification user permissions

    Request to make classification application settings specific to the classification. Currently, the setting for who can apply/remove a classification is for all classifications, but there are cases where it would be helpful that a classification to be only applied by owners and other where co-owner, or even editor would be allowed to apply certain classifications.

    Examples:
    1. A classification tied to a Shield access control rule that only owners can apply or remove
    2. A classification tied to a Shield access control rule that owner/co-owners can apply or remove
    3. A classification identifying a type of content that owners/co-owner/editors can apply/remove

    Currently there is one setting button that affects all classification. This proposal is for a setting option for each classification.

    To open a file from a link that is currently a shared link or a link in the URL of a Box storage location, the following steps must be taken
    1.Click on the link
    2.Login to Box
    3.Display the preview
    4.Click "Open
    5.Launch the desktop application

    Office files are often edited in the desktop application,
    and launching Box ⇒ showing preview ⇒ launching the desktop application is a laborious process with many steps to open the file.

    Please add a new feature so that after clicking on the share link and logging in, the screen allows the user to select Preview, Download, Desktop Apps, or Office Online.
    Ideally, the specific configuration area should be any of the following.
    1.Add a setting to [Admin Console > Users and Goops > Account [Roles and Account Permissions]].
    2.Add a setting to [Admin Console > Content and Sharing > Shared Links].
    *Triggers are "collaboration privileges" or "user designation

17. Unified/Global 'All Trash' View

    In larger companies, Content Manager's organization of trash (by Owner) and searching through Usage Logs are both overly cumbersome when looking for a file that a user has 'lost' (aka that's been deleted).

    To ease this pain, please build a unified/consolidated/global 'All Trash' view added somewhere in the Admin Console -- likely in Content Manager.

    From that view, an admin would be able to see:
    1. File/folder name
    2. Date deleted
    3. Owner
    4. Deleted by (user)
    5. Option to permanently delete or restore

18. Ability to create an index of a folder structure

    1) A way to create an index of a folder structure to make it easier for outside collaborators to get an idea of whats down the folder tree. We’re looking for some sort of index (like a table of contents) in an orderly fashion for a particular set of folders. I ran a files and folders report but as just an excel sheet it was relatively useless as a table of contents

20. Comments / Tasks from Desktop (Box Drive)

    In order to currently leave a comment on a file we have to right click on it, click on view on Box drive, which opens chrome, loads the file, then click on the comment icon on the right and then leave our comment

    A quicker and much simpler way of doing this would be to bring in comments and tasks into the box drive app to save us all of those steps of having to do this through our browser. There are a couple ways of doing this

    1) Bring in notifications, tasks and a comment stream into the system tray app. We have that nice search feature now which is amazing so it shouldn't be too hard to add a new tab there for tasks/comments and notifications like we have on the website. Show us a number somewhere to inform how many outstanding tasks, new/unread comments, new file uploads and/or mentions there are that need our attention. From there we could read and reply straight from the system tray

    2) Have a small indicator or number on the file icon itself in windows file explorer that let's us know how many comments/tasks are on that file and if there are any new ones.. We could right click on the right, go to the box context menu into a comments/tasks section that would bring up the discussions on that file. From there, in a popup menu or perhaps it just triggers the same system tray window discussed in the above point, we could read, reply or complete our tasks
