MAC OS Spotlight search for Box Drive
Ability to search for Box files from the Mac OS Spotlight Search feature. Allow all files/folders I have access to in Box/Drive to surface in the search functionality on my Mac desktop.

Creating multiple triggers in Relay
We created a workflow to create subfolders automatically. The ability to create subsequent triggers in those subfolders would be helpful. (i.e. folder A is manually created, folder a1, a2, a3, are automatically created. When a file is uploaded in folder a2, do outcomes 1-3)

New Box Drive for Windows (Cloud Files): Improve Explorer UX during startup/connecting to avoid unstable/incorrect folder state
Problem (What problem could Box solve for you?)
When Windows starts, the new Box Drive (Cloud Files architecture) auto-connects. During this “connecting/initializing” period, the Box Drive folder becomes visible in File Explorer even though Box Drive is not fully running/ready. The folder view is unstable: some items show missing icons/status, and opening folders can result in errors. This happens consistently across multiple users in our pilot.
This behavior may be aligned with the feature “Box Drive folders remain accessible even when the Box Drive application is not running,” but exposing a partially-initialized state causes confusion and support tickets (users think…4 votes -
Resize dialog box when moving or copying files
We are not able to view full name of folders and files that have long names without scrolling back and forth.

Allow BoxDrive search to be limited to files and folders names
The current BoxDrive search will search the contents of the file as well.
We would like to be able to narrow down the search target when searching, because sometimes it is enough to search only the file name or folder name.

We would like to make only files with a specific metadata template assigned eligible for publication in Hubs.
When publishing a folder to Hubs, all files under the target folder are published, which quickly exceeds the file limit for using Box AI for Hubs.
When publishing a folder, I want to filter and publish only the necessary files that have unique metadata (e.g., contracts, proposals, etc.) under that folder to the Hub, so that Box AI can be used more efficiently.

Ability for admin to select folders or files for which subsequent uploads will not be requarantined.

File Activity Dashboard Feature
Would love to generate a dashboard for users to access where they could see file activity listed out visually similar to how you can see it in the file by file method (link below), only in a more encompassing manner that includes multiple files in specific folders. The user reports generated aren’t very intuitive & doesn’t allow for a high level view of which assets are being engaged with the most at a quick glance.

Toolbar vanishes randomly
When multiple files are selected the toolbar goes invisble and right click options are reduced to a minimum. The chance increases with every selected file which makes it practically impossible to move multiple files/folders at the same time.

Function to display a list of files that failed to upload when uploading large amounts of content
In the course of work, there are many opportunities to upload folders or large numbers of files at once.
Some files may fail to upload, but the Box Web screen does not allow you to extract information about only the files that failed to upload.
This means that it can be time-consuming to identify files that have failed to upload among a large number of uploaded files.
Please implement a function to display a list of contents that have failed to upload.

HTML should be rendered in Preview mode again
HTML files appear to no longer be rendering the HTML. Instead, they are just showing me the content of the HTML code.

Show amount of time left to complete upload and the number of files remaining
It only shows a progress bar but I would like a % complete and time to complete on the progress bar as well. Also if it could show number of files that are being uploaded and how many are left. That would be very helpful when I am uploading a lot of documents and want to know long it will take to upload.
3 votesWe currently have a progress bar in the upload manager that indicates percentage complete. Adding an estimate for time could be helpful for users, but we won’t be able to prioritize this ask due to conflicting priorities – I’d suggest using the percentage complete as a benchmark for now.

folder report
When running the folder/file report, provide a way to include ONLY the subfolders and not the files. Sometimes we need only the subfolder details and not the actual files in each subfolder.

Auto deleting files from my desktop once they are moved into box
Hi- question on moving files. Say I create a document on my desktop and then drag and drop it into box. The original document on my desktop is not deleted. I would like this to happen automatically so I am not editing the most recent file. Is this an account preference with box or with with my computer?
Example: I create a document file on my desktop just by opening up a Microsoft Word document. I then finish the document file and drag and drop into my box drive on my hard drive, but the file still exists on…

Classify multiple Box Shield alerts at the same time
We recently had a user upload a lot of content to their Box account in one go during a migration from local file storage to cloud storage. There was a lot of really old data that Box detected as being malicious (over 700 files). Based on spot checks throughout the data, we've determined that the data is not actually malicious and is a false positive. With the current UI, it'd take forever to mark each of the 700+ alerts as a false positive. It would be much nicer to be able to multi-select the alerts from the main list…

When going through pdf files. I don't want to have to always close the fact that the pdf is on two or more pages.

Ability to search files by SHA1 value
Currently, the Box File APIs can give data about the SHA1 values, and these present in Shield Alerts also. It would be very beneficial to be able to also search by SHA1 values.
Key use cases:
1. Detection of duplicate content within Box to save storage space, consolidate data and reduce version management.
2. File correlation across systems (i.e. using SHA1 to correlate Box files with external security tools / malware scans)
3. Better compliance and chain-of-custody (ensuring files are unchanged)SHA1 values are referenced here:
