  1. Ability to show Full path from root to collaborated folder

    If i have a folder in the following structure
    /1/2/3
    and I invited User B to Folder 3
    When User B access Folder 3 he would have no idea that folder 3 is actually in the path /1/2/3.

    On Box platform however, there is an optional parameter "canviewpath",
    while this can only be used by the folder owner it adds to ability to let collaborator see the folder from root to target folder.

  2. Ability to 'Hide' Folders I've Been Added To

    As a user, I've likely been added to numerous folders that I do not need to access daily or even often, but still need to remain a collaborator in. A 'hide folder' option may help with this, where a user would be able to hide a folder form their All Files view, but the user would not actually be removed as a collaborator from the folder. They would then be able to access all 'hidden' folders via a menu option on the left rail (or elsewhere).

    Folder sprawl is an interesting challenge many of us face! To combat this, we’re recommending that users use the upcoming ‘Collections’ feature to group together content that’s frequently used vs. hiding content that’s infrequently used.

  4. Auto Classification policy does not work when folders are copied or moved

    We would like to improve the behavior so that the auto-classification policy works correctly for files within the folder, even if the folder is copied or moved.

    Currently, the Auto Classification policy works correctly when files are copied or moved, but not when folders are copied or moved.
    For example, if a ".dwg" file is stored in the "Technical Information" folder, there is an automatic classification policy that assigns the label "Technical Information" (not for external collaboration).

    Unfortunately classifying child items upon move/copy operations of the parent folder is not being considered at this time.

  5. Canvas feature improvements

    After trying Canvas it looks like in order to get more use out of this compared to other open white board on the market it really does need allow more flexibility and improvements such as:

    1. Ability to allow GIF's for presentations.
    2. Allow links/ bookmark to files within box within a text box.
    3. Allow preview box of a video or crop a video within box to show a snippet of the video for presentation.
    4. Allow a preview link/ bookmark to Audio file to play.
    5. Currently drawn notes or shapes only allow corners to expand, it would help to add in side…

  6. Shield alert to show more than 90 days

    Currently the Shield dashboard only show up to 90 days of alerts.
    I would like to have the option to have all of the past alert and be able to filter it by custom date filter.

  7. Ability to change the Date Field format

    Currently the date field is automatically filled based on the signer's PC device language.
    When the language is set in Japanese, the date will be written in Japanese but when it is set in English, the date will be written in English.
    It would be great if we can set the language/format of the date to be the same when there is multiple signers with different language setting.

  8. Box Sign Notifications and Tasks

    Would like the ability for internal users to receive a task notification if assigned a signature as well as for the signer to receive a notification in the notifications bar when a document has been signed or rejected.

  9. Search by Created Date and Modified Date

    When uploading a file by FTP, the Created Date and Modified Date on Details tab shows timestamp from the local PC.
    Box's search function only allows to search by Updated Date that is not the date from Modified Date from Details tab of a file, so please add the finction to search by Created Date and Modified Date for FTP uploaders.

    Possibly, 120 users could be affected by this function change because most of important files are in their local PCs, and it would be really helpful if they could search them by the dates that on their local PCs.

  10. Box Drive: Display pop up warning when content is moved to external folder

    Just like below warning pop-up displayed in WebApp, Box Drive shall pop up a warning to let the user know the item ownership will be changed to external user, when moved to external folder. (also to prevent accidental moves)

    By moving this item you will be transferring ownership to John Doe (john.doe@boxsample1[.]com) at Box Sample1 Company. In some cases, you may not be able to undo this action based on restrictions in the destination location.

    Thank you for the suggestion. We currently do not have this planned on our roadmap. We will place this in our backlog as we continue evaluating ideas to improve Box Drive.

  11. Manage default Box Drive install folder in Admin Console

    To configure the Box Drive folder location, registry keys need to be pushed to all workstations. The customer would like it if there was a setting in the Box Admin Console where you could set the new folder paths for Windows and Mac, and then when a user logs into Box Drive, it would automatically update the registry. This would save admins from having to worry about new users or anyone they might miss with a manual push.

  12. Report / Customizable dashboard for a workflow

    I would like to get an overall view of my workflow and which files are at which stages, including:
    - How many files are in Step 1, Step 2, Step 3, etc.
    - How many files have completed
    - How many files were denied (or stopped in process)

  14. Expanding the scope of BoxAI

    Box AI works on single documents, but we also want to use it as a file search function across folders and Box as a whole. For example, I would like to have various company regulation files in a box and ask them to answer questions about what kind of application they should make when getting married.

  16. Add configuration option to hide the right-hand sidebar automatically

    When a file is opened, the right-hand sidebar is open by default. My preference is to have it closed, so I must close it each time. Please add a configuration option that would allow for users to set that sidebar closed at startup by default.

  17. Ability to zip/unzip large files from within Box so transport to/from Box isn't a huge bandwidth or time-consuming issue.

    Many folks are requesting or have requested the ability to zip/unzip large files from within Box and being able to view them from within Box so transport to/from Box isn't a huge bandwidth or time-consuming issue. Zipping large files is a must-have in these days of high-resolution images and A/V technology.

  19. Expose EXIF Metadata in the Box Drive when Media (Photo, etc.) is Uploaded via Box Drive or Web App

    We sort hundreds of thousands of photos taken by our users. We need to be able to sort within Box Drive in a Windows Explorer view, and one of the ways they sort is via the Date Taken attribute.

  20. HTML should be rendered in Preview mode again

    HTML files appear to no longer be rendering the HTML. Instead, they are just showing me the content of the HTML code.
