Let me turn off Box AI
I have no use for AI. I do not want Box AI in my workflow at all. But since Box AI was implemented, my default sidebar on the Box web view is Box AI. This is useless to me, and more annoyingly, it replaced Activity (a very useful sidebar) as the default, making my experience of Box less productive and more annoying. I encounter this many times per day and it is infuriating.

Exclude Specific Content from Box AI
As a law firm we need to segregate certain client data from the ability to use Box AI due to legal agreements in place with their clients to not be able to use AI on their data. Currently we would need to turn off Box AI on the whole account in order to achieve this requirement, which is not ideal.

Zoom.us video recordings archival into Box.
We would like to have the integration between Box and Zoom to be able to pull Zoom meeting recording from Zoom and store in Box.

Display warning if a document is open
Display a warning similar to read-only if another team member has a file open. Currently this is not possible without code installed at the individual PC level and there is no solution with MAC (just confirmed with support). The conflicting versions can be frustrating for teams and the tiny lock icon is just not a large enough warning when opening from box drive.
21 votesFor Office files stored in Box, we are enabling the capability coauthor in real-time with collaborators. This will eliminate issues that arise when creating conflict copies. For other files types that do not support coauthoring, we do not have a feature planned on our roadmap, to notify users when the file is locked outside of the lock icon that is displayed on the file in the Explorer/Finder view.
We will place this in our backlog as we continue evaluating ideas to improve Box Drive.

Allow authentication across multiple Box applications through one "passport"
There are many ways in which to authenticate to Box through Mobile, Sync, Drive, Web etc. Is it possible to have a single unified check wherein we could then open any end-point for Box to authenticate?

It will be very useful if Box Sign icon function (below Metadata icon) to be changed from raise Request Signature become option to e-signatures display (Draw, Type, Upload).So, when clicked the Box Sign Icon, users are ready to sign.

Box Sign - Ability to enable/disable for groups
Box Sign Allow and Block list only allow 100 each. Enabling groups would allow customers to configure Box based on defined groups within an organization.

Create and add Team Collections via Box Security Group
We need the ability to create "Team Collections", essentially replicating the function of a Team Drive and provide this shortcut to Users on specific Teams. Given the nature of how Box files/folders are owned by a single User, it makes the function of a Team Drive almost impossible. I think of this as a Mapped Shared Drive in a File server.
If it were possible to assign Team Collections via Box Security Group, I would be able to provision these Team Collections by an AD Attribute or AD SecGroup, via IdP Rule which maps to a Box Security Group. These…

file transfer status
One of our users recently asked the following:
"The Transfers pane in the Box drive alert window rarely shows any file
names, even when files are actively being transferred. Please change the
Transfers window so that it shows a rolling list of all transferring and
recently transferred files and a time remaining estimate. The list
should be rolling and not clear when the transfers are done. It should
always be possible to see the last 5-10 files that Box Drive has
transferred."I'm not sure if this is a reasonable request, but thought I'd share it here.
3 votesWith the release of 2.53 and 2.54, the macOS UI's transfers pane has a host of improvements that should address much of the comments in here. Windows side changes still being evaluated.

Task Feature in Box Automate
In the current Box Automate, the Task outcome fails when the folder or enterprise setting is "Only folder owners and co-owners can send collaborator invites", which we understand is officially stated on the Box Support page.
However, many companies in Japan use this configuration, making the Task feature in Box Automate practically unavailable.Our understanding was that Box had initially stated the existing Box Relay features would remain available after the upgrade to Box Automate. If that is not the case, this may impact customers’ existing business operations, which we consider to be a concern.

Improve way to update lock status of a file
When a file is locked by a user in Box Drive, users who are looking at the same file at that time via web browser will not noticed the file is locked until they refresh the page. We would like to have the lock status updated in a more dynamic manner without the need for a page refresh

Box for Outlook BVE support
Request to support Box for Outlook for BVE customers.
Right now Box for Outlook does not support Box Verified enterprises, and completely blocks them out if you block app.box.com.

Ability to "resync" or "rescan" your webapp to reflect folders in local folder
User deleted a folder via Box Drive with Viewer permissions (so it stayed on Box), and then never showed up again in local folder

Support Password-Protected Shared Links for Box Notes
There's a known issue/limitation currently (https://community.box.com/t5/Managing-Your-Content/Box-Notes-Notices-and-Known-Limitations/ta-p/340) where Box Notes do not work correctly when the shared link is password-protected.
REQUEST: Allow Box Notes to have password-protected shared links just like any other file on Box.
